Marvel Films MCU Thunderbolts - Team suggestions?

Why would Yelena work with these people?

Why would Bucky and Sam work with Zemo? Why would Thor work with Loki? They work with disreputable types because they are getting something in the exchange. In this situation it may just be for the money.

I have strong doubts that Yelena is 100% good, which makes her a good member for the MCU version.

And Taskmaster is totally OT Fagbenle's Rick Mason. I'll be surprised if it's not.

All these sources sound nebulous and speculative at best.

Also, I can't picture Justin Hammer fighting for anyone at all or fighting period. Making him Mach-1 would make me want to vomit.

Yep, on the spoiler Reddit it's been tossed around with a few others. Not sure of the original source though.

Yeah, key words Reddit. Look, some stuff that's one Reddit is legit. Undoubtedly, but it's also BS more than half the time too because a lot of it is just 4chan fanfiction.

I saw multiple Reddit spoilers about you know who in WandaVision that were wrong.

I mean Endgame was leaked on Reddit. I'm not even saying its 100 percent true but a film that was screened twice already over a year ago is more likely to have legitimate leaks than a show which Fiege was constantly said to keep top secret.

Plus it just makes sense, Yelena is a villain originally in the comics. Her being a double agent would be up her alley

I saw tons of Endgame "leaks" on Reddit that were fake. TONS.

I hope
Val
is working for Hydra (reawakened during the blibb) and not recruiting for the Thunderbolts.

Would you be opposed to him being the one who supplies the tech to the team? That way he doesn't have to fight anyone.

Looks like we're getting Walker, Abomination, Taskmaster, Ghost, Yelena (maybe depending upon what she ends up becoming at the end of Black Widow) as the Thunderbolts. Now Adrian Toomes, Mac Gargan and Herman Schultz are still alive but those characters might belong to Sony.

One potential team member I completely forgot about was Tony Dalton, who is portraying Swordsman Jack Duquesne in the Hawkeye series. He is fantastic in Better Call Saul and would make a great addition as the Thunderbolts' weapons expert. You could put together a great replacement Avengers team with these MCU additions:

Val as Fury
Blonsky as Hulk
Hammer as Iron Man
Walker as Cap
Ghost as Vision (sorta)
Belova as Black Widow
Duquesne as Hawkeye
Moonstone as Captain Marvel
Agatha as the Scarlet Witch

I would hope that they would be the only team in the MCU that won't have aliens on their team, but who knows.

Though not exactly an alien, I bet there will be an Eternal or Deviant who could fill the "Thor" slot in the Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers squad.

They would be half aliens wouldn't they?

I never thought about Swordsman being on the team. Good call. Though, we don't know if he's going to be a villain or not.

Yes I would. Iron Man 2 established that he's not very smart and he's not good at designing bleeding edge tech that works. Case in point, the ex-wife, and his early attempts to mimic Iron Man tech failing. Basically, he's incompetent. Why would he be trusted to create working tech?

Because he's available, willing to work cheap, and the Contessa doesn't have any other options?

I don't think Feige and Company should just be repeating what they did with the Avengers franchise. The members of the Thunderbolts should be selfish, somewhat less competent and at least a smidge villainous. The team having to rely on wonky Hammer tech would be a fun contrast to the uber reliable Stark and Wakandan product.

That would make Contessa equally idiotic and incompetent.

Why not hire Quentin Beck or his cronies?

Quentin beck Is dead and no one knows his cronies exist. The world never saw what happened behind the scenes.

Are we sure about that?

Yes? I mean unless one of his crew went and blabbed about the whole thing being fake then no one would know. The public thinks Spider-Man ordered those drones to strike, the images being fake was never discovered and even if they were no one would still know about Mysterios group.

Then who do you want as the tech guy who currently exists in the MCU, because we are not going to get the original team.

All the people you want to see un the Thunderbolts are not currently in the MCU. Now they might be in projects not yet fully cast, but as of now, we go with what we have. This is the MCU, you know better than anyone since you review this stuff on a regular basis that the movies are not the same as in the comics, so we won't get all of the original team.

Paul Norbert Ebersol.

If he's introduced great, but if not, do you have any other options? Because the MCU won't introduce everybody and some are Spider-Man villains and there may be some rights issues there.

They should introduce him.
