Straight off the box-office smash-hit Transformers, sexy star Megan Fox (sexy pic inside) is set to star in Rogue Pictures' horror film Half to Death, according to Beyond Hollywood. Finnish director Antti Jokinen is attached to helm the pic, which follows a young college freshman named Teresa is troubled by when she discovers she is living the same day over and over again, one that starts out innocently enough but always ends with her brutal murder by an unknown attacker.. Megan Fox can be seen in the latest issue of Maxim for all you guys out there.

SYNOPSIS

Website Film Jerk scored the following information on HALF TO DEATH: "A young college freshman named Teresa is troubled by when she discovers she is living the same day over and over again, one that starts out innocently enough but always ends with her brutal murder by an unknown attacker. Could the murdered be her boyfriend Gregory, who is also sleeping with Teresa's roommate Lori? Or could it be Lori, who is ferociously envious that Gregory might like Teresa more? Maybe it is one of Teresa's classmates, unable to get her attention? Perhaps one of her professors, who cannot consummate their passion for their top student? Or perhaps it's some secret Skull & Bones-type society, who picked Teresa for no good reason to be their ritualistic sacrifice?

Half to Death is scheduled to begin shooting in mid-September. Expect a late 2008 release date on this one, guys

Kinda seems that short lived tv show daybreak. Which i liked but was canned to quickly.Should be interesting.

There's over-exposure, there's over-exposure, there's over-exposure, and then there's what's going on with Megan Fox.

She's like that "Hey Delilah" song...annoying as hell...

She better worship the ground Bay walks on for getting her star to rise this quickly, but in all honesty, she's not THAT special. Yeah she's hot; she and a butt-load of other actresses. But she's not that great an actress...

Hope she enjoys being the it girl for awhile.

Yes and No...

In a way yes, because she is in one film, but it just so happens to be the biggest film of the year. Now she's everywhere because people are wondering who she is.

It reminds me of what happened to Jon Heder after Napoleon Dynamite.

And No, because it's more the after effects of the film than the film itself.

In the end, I guess I just personally fail to see what's so great about this girl. She's good looking, but so are A LOT of other women around the world.

And being in a Summer Blockbuster or Not doesn't change the fact that she's just not THAT great an actress. Since she was played more for the sex-angle, I think Bay feels the same way.

They probably could've gotten an equally hot actress who can actually act.

But hopefully, for Fox, she'll take on more character driven roles and prove me wrong and that she can act.

But for now, she seems like she's going down the same career path as Alba. She'll be featured everywhere and way too often, and only be offered roles based on her sexuality.

The plot sounds pretty lame...Hasn't something like this BEEN done already? Where the boy was unconcious, no one could see or hear him and he was in the woods..he had to prevent his own murder or something like that....Same feel..

Why can't someone come up with an ORIGINAL story...and hire better actors.

Neither could her co-star. The effects for Transformers (at least to me) is what made the movie. The acting was subpar.

She is easy on the eyes though

Shia was far too awkward, and I have yet to see much range from him. He plays mostly the same character. If this character had no name, then I would have thought he was the guy he played in Disturbia.

I loved Transformers, I just thought it had weak acting in many places.

This is a bad move for her. She already did her star launching, marketable popcorn flick. She needs to branch out, prove she can actually act in a real role. Otherwise she is going to go the route of countless other flavor of the month actresses and being doing dinner theater in New Jersey in a couple years.
