Megan Fox Ready to Die Over and Over Again

I'm gonna repost my answer to this question here.

She wouldn't be decent in anything because she can't act, I don't see why she's blinding all you guys making you think she can. Please try to fight the stereotype that guys will defend an actress only because of her **** and ass, because other than those two things, there's nothing to her.

Megan Fox played her role perfectly.

You guys want to see bad acting? Watch an Anna Nicole Smith movie.

She ain't that talented.

A hot body and a hit movie. But something tells me this will be another short lived flavor sex appeal moment. I mean look at Elisha Cuthbert, Eliza Dushku, Alicia Witt, Ali Larter, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alyssa Milano, Denise Richards, etc. and she'll likely go that way.

Megan Fox is definitely not that bad.
People are saying that she was SO bad in Transformers, but why are some really saying it? I think it's just because it seems like the IT thing to do, because we haven't seen enough Megan Fox to judge her acting. When we see her in more roles, then we can say how bad she is or whatever, but to judge her solely on her (not prominent) role in Transformers, which wasn't too bad really, strikes me as odd.

No she is just a mediocre actress. It is a simple point. Maybe she'll get better and prove us all wrong, but in Transformers her performance was flat, silly, boring and unconvincing.

But hey Jessica Alba was called a good actress after Sin City and did she prove her detractors wrong in the Fantastic Four movoies and Into the Blue...oh wait.

Yes, because Transformers had Oscar caliber acting all around. :whatever:

Her Transformers performance was about as one-dimensional as they come, I love horror but this plot sounds redudant and unimpressive.
Looks-wise I think she's cute, she has nice eyes, but she doesn't totally blow me or anything. She's not even close to how good Alba or Dushku looked before they got too thin; and acting wise either of them surpasses her.

I don't think he was claiming that it did.

Shia LeBeaof is a horrible actor too, he basically just keeps playing himself over and over. His generic puppy love story in Transformers was EXACTLY the same as his relationship with the girl in Disturbia, and he's the wise-cracking dorky kid in practically every role he takes.
If he's the next big thing in Hollywood than Hollywood is a midget.

I can respect that. And while I don't think Megan Fox is the next Cate Blanchett, I just find it funny that she is the one everyone focuses on when it came to bad acting in Transformers. The same way they do Alba in FF, as much as I don't like Alba as sue, she's about the 15th wrong thing with those movies.

Well, she is not overexposed in the UK I know she is in Transformers, but I only just acknowledged her existence the other day while checking out US Maxim.
She is quite the hottie.

Can I ask- are you gay? I don't mean that as a diss, but far as I can see Fox is mad hot, and I have taste.

she better not die in this movie because when I see it if she dies I'll leave the theatre

Most of his roles are the same, yes, whereas others- which some people around here obviously haven't seen- are not similar.

The two examples of that would be 'Bobby' and 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints'. So, if you really want to see his acting- go see those films. But, as I said before, he's without a doubt one of the or the best actor of his generation. On each set, as he says in interviews, he learns and takes "home work" and advice from the greats such as Anthony Hopkins ('Bobby') and Jon Voight ('Holes' & 'Transformers'). Spielberg calls him the next "Tom Hanks" due to his every man personality and thus has helped him along the way as well, especially in moving Shia's career along (Disturbia, Transformers, Indiana Jones 4).

Also, midget??? He's 21/22 years old! I and most of my friends are around the same height as he is, and he's only 2 years older, so I really don't understand the whole midget thing... can you please explain that?

So, in short, see 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints' and 'Bobby', you'll see that he doesn't always play the "same character" it's just that you haven't seen those films. :cwink:

Below I've posted clips from both of the films I've mentioned:

A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints:

He doesn't always stray from the "every teen" role, but when he does he still delivers on a great performance.

Shia will have his real chance to break the "geeky teen" mold with Indiana Jones.

If he's STILL acting the way he did in Disturbia and Transofrmers in THAT film, THEN I'll agree with those who said it.

As far as the acting in Transformers, Peter Cullen and the voice cast of the Autobots and Decepticons gave the best performances, since they were clearly the stars of the film.

The human cast wasn't that terribly good.

Then again, what would you expect from a big dumb loud summer action flick from Michael Bay?

Bay is known for his action directing, not for character development. So it's understandable that Shia, Fox, Voight and the rest of the human cast was pretty wooden and uninteresting.

Shia was great in Bobby, which was a movie that I enjoyed. Ergo, Shia is at least okay.

Megan Fox is smokin' hot and needs to ride this out and make as much as she can, getting as much work as she can. Anything else is financially foolish. Ask Jude Law, anyone remember when he had 15 movies out in two months? Of course one could make the case that great actors don't always make great career moves, but don't ask David Caruso.

What if they ask him to be the geeky teen in Indiana Jones? Isn't it just his job to do what the directors and producers ask?

I doubt a character as portrayed in Disturbia or Transformers would even fit in the world of Indiana Jones.

If they ask him to act that way, then he'll convienently get away with it.

Then again, maybe it's not just Shia's fault. Maybe he was viewed that way to the point where those are the only kind of roles that producers and studios will send his way.

From the looks of it, I think he's playing a mix between his character in 'Disturbia' and possibly his character in 'A Guide to Recognizing your Saints'.

In other words, I think he'll play the "every guy" still but have a rebelious streak to him.

I mean, the shots we see are him wearing a black bomber jacket and riding a motorcycle. So, I think it's safe to say his character will be all around more serious, still relatable, and somewhat of a rebel in Indiana Jones 4.

And those aren't the only scripts being sent his way, but if you really want to find a great film of his that isn't "mainstream" you're going to have to look towards the indie realm which includes "Bobby" and "A guide to recognizing your saints." There is also a film that he is going after that will be mainstream, based off a comic property, in which he plays a darker character than the general audience know him for... I seriously hopes he gets that part, because then everyone can see that he's not just the "every teen", but a great upcoming serious relatable actor as well.
