Well that is Megan Fox's fault so blame her.
Not a hard thing to do. Whitely was hardly some tour de force.
indeed... but I was convinced she would be the biggest failure of all time (I even lost complete interest in the movie after Fox left)! Surprisingly enough, she got my attention, and not only because of her looks !
I dunno sometimes pretending a different actor is supposed to be the same character takes me out of the movie.
Rosie's ass did much better than I thought she would.
The sad this is that Huntington-Whitley was pretty good, but yeah, she is the epitome of a plot contrivance. There's no depth to her character and she quickly becomes a tired "damsel in distress" cliche that it's ridiculous. Say what you will about Megan Fox, but Mikaela was a good character when you consider than they never played her the way they play Carly in this new film. Mikaela was always part of the action, and could handle herself in need be. She took charge when sh** was going crazy, even without the benefit of Sam being around. They never treated her like someone Sam actively had to rescue, like they did in Dark of the Moon.
i wonder if megan fox is relieved after watching this that she didnt waste her time with this.... or insulted/amused at how michael bay thinks he could just recast Sam's dream girl with a victorias secret model
I don't know why they didn't just name Mikaela "Carly" to begin with, hell it probably would have made more since. The reason why everyone is saying its annoying that Carly was just thrown in there is because Carly is essentially Mikaela. The whole character Carly is ridiculous, its the same character as Mikaela, the only thing that changed was the name. If would've made much more sense and been more believable if Megan Fox had returned, but that didnt happen so the Carly character was a let down as it really wasn't the Carly from the original series.
