As this is a spoiler fourm, many of us know of Meg's demise at the end of the movie.

However, my thought is that he will re-surface in the sequel with a new Earth mode (different look -- perhaps more closer to his original g1 look, although he will not be a gun).

Thoughts?

this is a spoiler forum but a lot of us are only here because it's the most busiest part of the TF forums but still wish to remain as spoiler free as possible. if you could please spoiler tag what you said about Megs or put a spoiler warning that'd be great.

edit: everytime i read the thread's title i keep thinking "Megatron must be....stopped!" hehe

Do you think that there will be an extra scene after the final credits roll? I think that would be the perfect opportunity to tease us for the next film.

Good Question, For some reason his death seems final, but I can't imagine a sequal without him.

Megatron is indestructable ppl. That answers it all!

Some people seem to think that this film is the end of Megatron, impossible. You can't have Luke without having Vader.

Here is my theory: Megatron doesn't have an Earth mode in this film because:why does he need it? He is not trying to blend in, he knows he will be stronger in his protoform and all he cares about is getting the All Spark. Now in the sequel he knows the humans and Autobots alike thinks he is dead. He is also aware all his Decepticons are dead (he won't know about Starscream) and so, he is on his own and he needs to recruit. Now if the army or Autobots get wind of his survival they will be all over him so he will need an Earth mode to stay hidden.

Talk on the 'street' (read internet) is Devastator and the Dinobots might come into the sequel, so Megs recruiting or possibly building the Constructicons is likely.

I also think Soundwave will make the trip to Earth after Starscream informs the Decepticons on Cybertron that he is the new leader. He will look for Megatron and they will begin preperations for taking out the Autobots and possibly Starscream...

I want Starscream to be the leader!!! Why not have a twist and actually give him a chance :) I actually think Megatron will be brought back and "rebuilt" by Soundwave/Shockwave into Galvatron

what i think would be cool is if they decide to bring Unicron into the mix, he should be like sphere but not planet sized, and he should have Allspark like powers, he should also be brought to earth by Soundwave and some new decepticons that have been upgraded by unicron. Or unicron could act more or less like a sort of virus that can upgrade a transformer and create new ones that serve him.

No.

I'd prefer there is no Galvatron (even if he's really Megatron re-built).

Keep it the classic confrontation of OP vs Megs.

I'll settle for Galvatron which transforms into M109A6 Paladin Self Propelled Artillery.

That looks crazy!!!! Now what if (and only if) for some unknown reason his robot mode looked like brawl with Megatrons old head design

Oh, I know he'll be back...the AllSpark could've destroyed Optimus Prime because of his size, and sice Megatron is like, ten-twelve feet taller than him, then the AS couldn't have destroyed him, but a good way for him to have an Earth mode would be, the AllSpark could have really messed him up, burnt marks, scratches, so he goes off to find an Earth mode to hide those scars.

No, I don't wanna see a teaser involving Megatron...the suspense of it when they show Megatron return in number two will be awesome, much like Shredder in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II.

But Starscream will have a bit of a tease, [BLACKOUT]during the credits, there will be THREE things that will show: Ron getting asked about aliens, Judy getting asked about aliens, and then Starscream leaving the atmosphere.[/BLACKOUT]

Good Question, For some reason his death seems final, but I can't imagine a sequal without him.

Megatron can't die, just because he's there to go up against Optimus Prime.

But, for the third movie, I actually wouldn't mind for it to be something like Superman and Doomsday, a final blow to eachother, and they both die.

Galvatron...never liked that idea, lol.

If Unicron is in the movie, fine, but let's stay away from Galvy.

I'll settle for Galvatron which transforms into M109A6 Paladin Self Propelled Artillery.

How about that for Megatron instead? Much like this:

Not really...he was a gun, and then a tank, and the his ancestor in Beast Wars was a dinosaur and then a dragon...he doesn't NECESSARILY need to be a jet, or something that flies...he is a Cybteronian jet in the movie, but he could be a tank, so he can stay low-key for a bit while trying to come up with a new plan of action.

yeah but i didnt know you can be a jet OR a ground vehicle..

thought you could only choose one,lol

Lol, yah...but, that wasn't an Earth mode either.

Besides, Starscream is a F-22 Raptor, what would Megatron be? A Boeing?

There was a transformer with three modes. Robotic. Motorcycle and Helicopter. I forget his name, but he's a special type of transformer.

  1. Unicron being in the movie would just come off (to many people) as a re-tread of Fantastic Four 2.
  2. Galvatran is an idiot. Whoever suggests this idea is on crack. MAYBE for 10 minutes in the 3rd part before Optimus rips him in half.
  3. Megatron should be brought back to life by some loyal Decepticon or fished out by some unsuspecting human. He should be debilitated for most of the movie until the end (I would love to see something like Issue #13 of the original comic fleshed out.... but I know that's not gonna happen).
  4. Meanwhile, Shockwave has assumed control of the Decepticons. This is how it SHOULD be.

These are all good ideas... I'd like to see Megatron come back a little sooner than at the end of the second movie, and see him deal some serious damage, almost as if the Autobots "lose" the main battle in the first Transformers sequel (to set up the third).

I especially agree that Unicron is NOT a good idea.

I agree that Unicron probably shouldn't make an appearence...not as a huge Planet eating Transformer anyway.

Galvatron isn't an idiot...he is insane and does a lot of good for the Decepticons in season 3.

He should bide his time and wait for Soundwaves signal.

Meanwhile, Shockwave has assumed control of the Decepticons. This is how it SHOULD be.

Starscream should go back to Cybertron and claim leadership, leading a task force of Decepticons to destroy Earth.

That's ridiculous. What's the point of a spoiler forum, then?

I couldn't care less about Starscream. Shockwave would kick his ass (in the comic book at least). He's the closest to being an equivalent to Megatron. But, then I guess all that old canon is out the door anyway. :csad:

In the cartoon Starscream wasted Shockwave and whenever Megatron was down and/or out Starscream easily took command. Heck in the movie prequel books Starscream has been running things while Megs has been frozen

I'd imagine he would be. I mean he's a robot. They can always rebuild him.
