Look, this is getting a sequel, no doubt about it...

So they [blackout]essentially killed every Decepticon. Starscream, Soundwave, Shockwave and Megatron. That's every one anyone who wasn't a Transformers nerd cared about. I'm a TF Nerd though, and maybe there is a silver lining. Transformers G1 had a plethora of characters and a plethora of Decepticon factions and leaders. Deathsaurus, Thunderwing, Scorponok (I know he's technically been used), Super Megatron (the resurrected Megatron), Overlord, the Quintessons (not Decepticons, but other enemies) and Unicron (not a Decepticon), and of course GALVATRON![/blackout]

Does this open up more interesting possibilities for a sequel?

It makes lots of money, and there has already been talk of what they'll do Post-Bay and it all leans towards potential sequels.

It's a good chance there will be more movies. Either sequels or reboot. It's too profitable.

It already cracked 100 million (I think it was at 97 million by Friday actually), but basically you make that kind of money it'll mean sequel automatically. Plus it seems the audience likes it. I think the critics have it in for Bay, as far as action movies go that delivered.

I hope they get a different director. I like these movies, but I want to see someone else's take on it. Apparently James Cameron, Peter Jackson and Gullermo Del Toro have all said that they were interested in TF.

No need to reboot. No worries, no matter how many Bay has killed there is only like 100,000 left to choose from.

I'd go Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge for the sequel, and introduce Hot Rod and Kup and the Dinobots.

There will be more movies, no doubt but whether they're in the same continuity as these films, is to be determined. I'd prefer a fresh re-boot in about 5 years.

Btw, it is a known fact that Megatron is indestructable.....

Megatron can be brought back. It's easy. Unicron can resurrect him, Starscream and Soundwave as Galvatron, Cyclonus and Scourge or just as themselves. Or the others can be new characters instead.

Kup has such a loyal fanbase, it's not even funny. I'm apathetic towards the character but he's a fan fav on a few forums I post on. Wreck-Gar too.

I agree. The last movie seemed to roughly follow Ultimate Doom and Megatron's Master Plan to a certain degree, which were latter half first season/second season episodes. So movie 4 can transition into season 3 a bit I'd say.

I'd like to see Wreck-Gar. There ws some cncept art of him floating around not so long ago.

Question is whether you'd get Eric Idle Wreck-Gar or Weird Al Wreck-Gar, both were great. I'd almost rather Weird Al. Then Springer would be good, but they can still fish around in the early lines. Insecticons, Prowl, Inferno, Red Alert, the Dinobots, Thurst, Dirge, Ramjet, Blitzwing, Astrotrain all are still available. Plus other show characters like Skybite, Nemesis Prime, the Quintessons, Sixshot, Deathsaurus, the Masters (power and headmasters). So much at their disposal for movie 4 it's not even funny.
