Mel's in full grizzled badass mode, love this type of film and Campbell is a good director when the material is good. Defintiely high on my "Must see" list but it's a shame De Niro isn't in this as was planned.

i am watching hes movies and not drinking a beer with him. if he would kill someone then i think it would be hard to watch hes movies. but its no problem if he just said some bad and stupid things.

Pretty good trailer. Love seeing Gibson in roles like these. I agree with the most that it would have been cool to see Deniro in this.

Ray Winstone looks cool too, and I see Danny Huston is true to form as The Suspect.

1. Awesome poster.

2. Awesome trailer. Despite Gibson's past personal mistakes, i've always forgiven him. The man just makes incredible movies. This movie looks like it's gonna be a goodie. Would have been great to see De Niro in the film, but Winstone is a worthy enough replacement.

3. I got myself the Payback director's cut the other day. It's so much better than the theatrical cut that it's not even funny. It's such a better movie than the original cut that you wouldn't be wrong in ignoring the theatrical cut for the rest of your life. While great, it doesn't compare to Point Blank(one of my favorite movies ever), but the DC has taken a worthy spot next to Point Blank on my shelf.

That trailer really has me jacked for this movie. It's like The Patriot meets Mystic River.

The one-sheet poster reveals that John Corligiano's score has been rejected, and Howard Shore is doing the replacement score (Corligiano recorded his score with the LMO at Abbey Road earlier this year). Shameful, it's probably a similar case to the Troy fiasco with Gabriel Yared and James Horner.

I finally watched the trailer. Wasn't too impressed by it. This seems to be a more of a revenge driven action film than a political detective thriller the miniseries was. Nothing wrong with that, I was just tad disappointed. I wonder if Pendleton will be in the film version. He was probably my favorite character in the series.

A trailer's purpose is to get people's attention. It could be the trailer just overemphasized the revenge/action aspects to grab mainstream audience interest.
