Justice League Members of the first justice league movie

Lupita Nyong'o as Vixen.

I feel strongly about this, WB.

Who is she and why should she take a spot from other more deserving heroes?

Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Green Lantern (Jon Stewart)
The Flash (Barry Allen)
Green Arrow
Martian Manhunter

But I'm OK with whatever version of the core 5 we get as long as Martian Manhunter is included.

I'm not sure who is more "deserving", or how you choose to assess that. I would say that Vixen is certainly more interesting than, for instance, Hal Jordan.

Why does everyone want jon stewart and wally west? Barry and hal r the original, most famous and most powerful duo

Actually Wally was always more powerful... until Geoff Johns retconned it. And John and Wally are more interesting characters than Hal and Barry. Plus Hal has already failed massively on the big screen. I don't think the character can recover. Green Lantern needs to be completely re-imagined on the big screen, not just recast. You get someone like Idris Elba in the role, or someone like Bradley Cooper as Guy Gardner, there is a chance GL could be successful.

Hal is one of the least likeable and least interesting characters in comics, who was recently the eponymous character in a movie that tanked.

Sorry, which Secret Origin? So many comics appear to have had that title.

Characters like Vixen, Green Arrow, Zatanna, Black Canary, Red Tornado, Atom, etc really should be saved for any possible sequels. The first movie, in my opinion, really should be the original 7 (preferably) or the New 52 original 7.

Green Lantern: Secret Origin

I think Hal really shines when he shares the screentime with Sinestro

I can understand that sentiment but, even as a crusty old comicbook traditionalist, I can see that times move on and that the first incarnation of a concept should not necessarily be seen as its optimum. An interesting team-up requires a nebulous dynamic between the characters, which flows from certain contrasts between them. The original line up was, naturally enough, crafted from very idealised characters that were designed to play the archetypal hero(ine) in their own titles. They were also exclusively white. This leads to a certain uniformity which I would personally find unappealing.

I would much rather have a mongrelised/hybridised JL built around a fairly classic depiction of the Trinity.

Green Lantern: Secret Origin

Isn't that more about Sinestro? I haven't read that comic, but did read Green Lantern/Corps for some years. My perception that Hal is by far the blandest character ever to carry the monicker is based on a fairly broad range of material. As with any tepid character, a good writer can warm him up on occasion, but I find the core of him to be rotten.

Kyle Rayner, Jon Stewart or (Earth 2) Alan Scott would all be infinitely more interesting, to me.

No, it's more about Hal Jordan than Sinestro, much more, goes into his past and relationship with his family. The dynamic between Hal and Sinestro is subjectivelly one of the most interesting parts in the GL franchise, i would love a budy cop type of film for those 2.

So, it's kind of an attempt to humanise the character. I would say that comes rather late in the day.

I think the most interesting thing in the Green Lantern mythos is the Corps and the range and diversity of its alien members. I would love to see Mogo in a movie.

I comes from Geoff Johns, he's the one giving the franchise a new light since the mid 2000s, and why it's right now one of DC's prime properties.

I stopped reading it on his run.

You leaving didn't stop the comics to start selling so much and branching out into various spin-offs, right now, GL has almost as many comic as Superman.

...I didn't say that it did?

The amount of product produced under a particular brand name doesn't have any baring on whether I find it interesting. And I think Hal Jordan has always been dull and unlikeable. I think he should have been left dead, and I hope he is replaced with one of the better GL's, should any of them appear in a JL movie.

If we do have to have Jordan, I hope he is radically changed. Having him be Jon Stewart in all but name may be the way to go.

In one hand i think he should have stayed dead, on the other, most of my favorite stories with him were after he came back.

If they make a JL film, at this point i think they should use John Stewart, but many can argue that JS is the most bland of the Green Lanterns, so if you changed Hal Jordan's personality, then changing it to Stewart's wouldn't exactly be for the best.

THIS.

Originally, I would've said John Stewart and Wally for the first JL movie because they seem to have more chemistry within the JL as a whole, however ...

Barry seems to be the in-Flash right now given that he's the sole Flash in the New 52 and that he is getting his own show (which I am really really excited about).

Due to JL War, I think that Hal Jordan could have just as much team chemistry as John Stewart (Note: I was actually disappointed by both the original GN and the JL War adaptation).

If I was to name off my first JL roster though, it would be:

Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Flash (Barry - because I feel he's the more 'iconic' one)
Green Lantern (John Stewart - to distance from the GL movie AND diversity ...)
Aquaman (seems like DC/WB wants to start a franchise with this one)
Zatanna (just a random wild card I threw in for more gender diversity and MAGIC)

I always thought that Cyborg was kind of awkward as the token minority of the Justice League, because that would mean that the Justice League only has half a black person. However, I kind of think he might take Zatanna's place in my imaginary roster. He's kind of iconic/popular as a member of the Teen Titans (which I think is popular with kids right now), plus its the token minority thing.

(Note: as a PoC, I prefer seeing diversity in comics)

He was anything but a token in JL:War. Vic's transformation was BRUTAL, and he was the one who formulated the plan to defeat Darkseid and the Parademons. WB should put him in the JL movie not just for diversity, but because he's an outstanding character.

I agree - Cyborg is great.

In all of the DCAU movies, he's been an integral part of the team & storyline. In many ways, he could be the Justice League's version of Iron Man. I know some people want to see him as part of the Teen Titans, but I don't see WB ever getting a TT movie off the ground.
