    Happy Independence Day, Guest!

Message from Uwe Boll to the IMDB users! lol

Only good thing about Dungeon Siege was having Blind Guardian and Hammerfall music during the end credits.

I ****ing love his movies, at least those that I've seen, and Postal is an all around god-like comedy masterpiece. I'm baffled on how people can watch House of the Dead and complain about how it could have been some Romero-esque zombie film when it's based on a crappy arcade game. The movie is sheer entertainment, and that's all it needs to be :-)

But it's not. It was just...boring. Literally 20 minutes of the movie, and I'm talking one continuous 20 minute chunk, was slow motion shots of each character shooting a zombie, a clip of a zombie from the game dying, and then a slow-mo, bullet time 360 on that character standing there. That's not sheer entertainment, it's just boring and stupid. I fell asleep halfway through House of the Dead the first time I saw it cause it was so bland and boring.

I see it the same way. Most people are just p*ssed because he takes their computer games and makes movies out of them, but to be honest: most games don't have real good stories. Far Cry, for example. Such a lame story. So he doesn't waste good games.

He may not waste a good video game but he wastes plenty of film roll. If his movies weren;t so terrible we would be more forgiving. He is the only director i really feel should not be making films.

I'm still trying to understand how Uwe Boll convinces talent like Jason Statham, Kristanna Loken, Ray Liotta, Ben Kingsley, Michael Madsen, and Ron Pearlman that his films are a good idea? Does he have some sort of deep dark secret on them?

From what I understand, he gets them while they're in between filming A-movies, only keeps them for a few weeks, and pays pretty well. So they're really just movies stars can use to get some quick cash while waiting for the next piece of real art to come along.

Makes sense, was just thinking maybe they got desperate at some point? But he managed to get Loken TWICE and let's be honest, she hasn't done much since Terminator 3. :csad:

I never understood the reaction of "how did he get Kirstanna Lokken?" cause...well...other than T3, the biggest thing she's ever done is that awful sci-fi series based on Painkiller Jane (well...named after Painkiller Jane, the similarities end there)...she's not exactly an A-Lister.

True, but she was a pretty intimidating Terminator. I think most people thought that would jumpstart her career and get her more roles that would indicate what kind of actress she is.

And it did. She's the type of actress who does 2 Uwe Boll movies and a terrible Sci-Fi series based on a comic that wasnt that good to begin with, and is wooden in both of them :)

It was more like 3 minutes, set to some rock song, and I found it all pretty hilarious. By far the crowning achievements of the film are tied between the pirate like captain and the actual clips of the game randomly inserted into the movie every few minutes.

Really? I love Blind Guardian, Hammerfall's a little too much of the happy power metal for me. At least Hansi usually sounds pissed when singing.
