I added a poll.
I'm sure the initial numbers will be in his favor, but after seeing the crap that TF2 is, most of you will change their minds.

Well, at least Michael Bay knows how to properly compose a sentence.

Oh, my apologies then. I am Italian american

*high five*

The sentence should read:

"I added a poll.
I'm sure the initial numbers will be in his favor, but after seeing the crap that TF2 is, most of you will change your minds."

Bay could be replaced with someone better or someone worse. It's hard to say he should "leave" without knowing the alternative.

I already said that I was skeptical about Bay leaving TF3, and I was right. Before TF, Bay's movies weren't doing that well, and this franchise really resuscitate his career. If TF3 turns out to be a blockbuster, I'm sure he'll contemplate making a 4th as well.

I do recall him saying around the release of TF1 that he could see up to five film being made. So I wouldn't rule out the possibility of him continuing.

I say it's time for Bay to take his "talents" elsewhere.

I would LOVE to see an action director who can actually recognize good writing to do the third Transformers movie. JJ Abrams, Robert Rodriguez, Guillermo Del Toro, Brian Singer... any of these would be an improvement.

Although I really liked Usual Suspects and like the first two X-men films I don't think Singer should be considered an action director. Personally I think he would be the wrong guy to make a Transformers movie.

I didn't ask about what you felt about it or the purpose of it...
You are wrong...the end. Nobody but crazy G1 fanboys want Optimus to wear his face plate all the time. If you took off your blinding, purical lenses you would be able to see why they chose to not do so. He wears his face plate in battle, be grateful that Bay incorporated characteristics of the entire history of the character instead of succumbing to whining fanboys and putting the cartoon models on screen.

No to Robert Rodriguez.

Del Toro and Abrams are busy so they won't do it. Bryan would make a pretty lame Transformers and he is showing interest in returning to the X-Men so that is a win/win for all of us.

I'm sure there are dozens of directors better than Bay and even suitable for a TF movie.

Of course there are. I just want an action director to do it and not like what they did with Wolverine by giving that movie to a director who has never done action.

I am fine with Bay...he does explosions.

Mike Bay should stay on board as an action coordinator, but leave the movie and its story to someone who's got tallent and actually wants to show a TransFormers movie with just a slice of brain!

That would mean hiring different writers...Bay didn't write the script.

Exactly! What people need to realize is if they hate all the dialogue or turn of events in the film they should be complaining that the writers are the ones that need to be replaced. Personally films like these are right up Bay's alley and since we've seen the first one, I have to admit I think he's the right man for the job when it comes to giant robots fighting each other. It's the writers who need to be swapped out.

Kurtzman and Orci are the writers...not Bay. It isn't that hard to understand:o

I love the Transformers franchise and I wouldn't want Bay to leave his baby to some else.

I doubt Orci and Kurtzman wrote the sexual jokes, the butt shots, Dev's balls and Sam's mom use of drug.

They did write the new Star Trek and if I remember correctly they had a scene where Kirk is under that green girl's bed(who is half naked and was about to screw) trying to get a peek of Uhara(sp?)undressing before he gets caught embarassingly. Reminds me of the only real raunchy joke in the first Transformers film where his mom brings up the question if he was *********ing.

Obviously sexual humour raunchy and in your face or not does not seem below those two guys.

Any particular reason?

True, but he did write the outline for the script.

I like Rodriquez for smaller stuff. I don't think he can pull off the grand scale that involves huge robots. I think Peter Jackson could pull off a huge robot war with huge robots.:cwink: But, Jackson is busy with Hobbit along with Del Toro.

Bay and others came up with the outline. The writers can change it at any time if they see fit. The studio execs then have to read it and can make revisions as they see fit. The bottom line is, Bay didn't write the script like some people think.

Also, Uhura jokingly accused Kirk of having sex with farm animals when they first met in the bar. It was funny, but kind of out of place in a Star Trek movie.
