I think guyz F4-2 is screwed. There is no doubt that if F4-2 comes out on the same day as tranformers then F4-2 is screwed.

Secondly even if F4-2 is MUCH BETTER than F4 it won't be able to maintain good legs because of Harry potter order of Pheonix.


It cannot handle such competition. I mean common F4 lost almost 60% of its audience on second weekend due to CATCF and Wedding Crashers.

Now with Harry potter it will lose more than 80% guarateed. And if Transformers kicks it a** then there is no doubt F4-2 will be boxoffice dud.

I think we should just give up and admit that F4-2 will be a big dissapointmnet at the boxoffice.

Really well said THE THING 2005.

I completely agree the SFX for F4 were well done considering it ran out of time to give the best results.

also F4 had better and more fun looking effects then CATCF & BB. Unfortunately F4 didn't had a good story because they messed up in the editing by removing some key emotinal scenes and von doom scenes.

it is the most under rated comic book movie of all time. It should have got atleast 50-60% (rotten tomatoes).

But i am pretty sure that F4-2 will be much better than F4. Everyone will be shocked to see the difference in the QUALITY between F4 and F4-2.

It feels like all the studios have ganged up against FOX and Marvel.

These studios want to destroy their properties especially Warner Bros. and U all know why!!!

LMAO... All this fatalism and negativity, and this movie hasn't even started filming yet.
Listen, if FF2 turns out to be a great film, then it will have a decent take at the box office, no matter what opens the same weekend and no matter what opens a week later.
I can't think of any truly worthwhile superhero flicks that have flopped.
I don't give a rat's aspirin if FF2 opens at #1 or #2. I don't care if it's not in the top 10 for the year. As long as it's a good movie, takes in a decent amount and leads to a third...that's all I care about!

Everybody who's been following this kinda stuff for any length of time knows that there will likely be all kinds of shuffling around with the schedule before next July.
Personally, I kinda wish they'd hold onto it until Thanksgiving or so, just to give themselves more time to fine tune it. It's also releasing a bit too close to Spiderman 3 as far as I'm concerned. I'm not looking forward to watching the Spidey and FF fans bash each other. Because they will.

But a lot of folks around here need to take a chill pill. I mean, Jeez!

Yea. Something will give. I mean we're still 15 months away. We'll see as we go along who moves and who stays put. If Fox feels it's in the best intrest of the profitability of the movie, the'll move. Won't be a big deal. Just give little more time to polish it up.And why would a FF fan want to bash a Spider Man fan ? I hope it makes a kazzilion dollars. And besides there's 2 months time between the 2 movies, as it now stands. I think it would be a great lead into the FF sequel.
