lol be better then yours

Depends on how you define better. My movies would have more varied casting than "30 year old white guy" for every role, and I wouldn't even keep the womenfolk locked in the kitchen. So yeah, I doubt you'd like that very much.

Repeating the same thing over and over again is redundant.

Repeating the same thing over and over again is redundant. Some people expressed their anger and dissapointment and have already moved on. You can't really keep beating a dead horse. I'm willing to wait and see how everything plays out.

We still get to see Hank put on the suit back in the 60's and modern day too. I don't see why age bothers people so much, it changes nothing about the character, he'll still be the genius who created the Pym particles. Edgar like Joss is also a big fanboy, I trust him with this.

you do realise i'm only repeating my answers cos the same question keeps getting asked. i'm not beating a dead horse whatsoever my points are so valid i'm astounded by peoples reaction. NO he will JUST be the genius who created the particles...but there shouldve been more to him then that.

Pretty much the majority of Super Heroes are "30 year old white guys".As such, they should be cast accordingly.

Well my ages would be close to what they depicted as in the comics not an age that they have NEVER been portrayed as. I actually write, direct and cast theatre plays so don't talk to me about casting.

and i won't respond to your sexist remark about woman in the kitchen. I don't tolerate sexism.

If you want to encourage generic blandness, yeah. Great idea, that's a real blockbuster in the making.

Protip: Movies aren't comics. Entirely different medium. You interact with them differently, they present themselves differently.

There's already one 30-something Ant-Man in this film. Two of them adds exactly nothing interesting to the mix. At least casting Douglas adds an extra dynamic and some variety (which seems to be a naughty word to some of you)

In the end I'll trust the pro filmmakers who have already entertained me for 5 years and 8 films, over a few internet fanboys who wouldn't know proper storytelling if it bit them in the ass.

Oh, of course you do.

Seems like you have little tolerance for reading comprehension too.

What's this thing about sexism? It wouldn't be "PC" if Janet was a "girly-girl"?

the pym/janet relationship angers me too, but some of the other points..
pym never joined the avengers he co-founded them. and this still might have happend. nick fury didn't came up with the idea of the Avengers Initiative, but someone did. Right now there is no reason not to think that it wasn't Pym who had the initial idea. just like the giant-man persona which still might have happend in the past. we have no details about Pyms life in the MCU other than he became Ant-Man in the 60ies and prequel movies are a realistic possibility (or at least a couple of one-shots which might or might not lead into another ABC show)
it is not like this movie will be all we will ever see about Pym.
Feige and MS have a huge masterplan for the MCU and I trust them enough to think they know what to do with Pym in 60ies era period movies

interesting concept, but if that were the case i'm he would've put his giant-man concept against the chitauri or even his ant-man powers against loki

Well I'm a black belt and champion weightlifter and nuclear physicist and race car driver and lead singer AND guitarist of a hella cool rock band. So neener neener.

Damn, that was easy. I should think up more stuff to pad my fake internet resume.

Ha ha you are making out what I do is something to brag about. thats actually kind of flattering thank you :woot:

No, that just about the furthest thing in the world from what I'm doing. But that leads us back to questioning your reading comprehension...

Actually it's the closest thing you are doing..... I don't think you actually get your own jokes dude ha ha

I don't think

And in other news, the wheel is round.

It's going to be hilarious when you buy your ticket to this along with everyone else. Until then, I hope you enjoy shaking your tiny angry fists at the heavens for the injustices done to your favorite tier 2 character.

ha ha I liked what you did there that was hilarious! you quoted my last sentence but cut everything out except 'I don't think'. That really got me man! you win this round, way to witty for me. But alas this isn't about you or me so I'm gonna go to sleep now and let others get a word in. Good job on that joke man, I'll be laughing myself to sleep..

oh and I think i'll just download it and hook it up to my tv with my tiny little fists... and I never said antman was one of my favorite character nimrod, I just have respect for source material.

good night you jokester!

Michael Douglas as Hank Pym intrigues me. I don't mind deviations from the comic books if the movie or show is good.

Agreed, it's the spirit of the characters that's the most important to maintain.

:funny:

Elaborate. And please don't bring up Ultron, that horse has been so beaten, there's nothing left to beat.

(Which makes no sense as it is.Fury made it sound as if the Day of the Super Hero was only now just emerging) and set the film in 2044.
Fury said Stark wasn't the only superhero in 2008. so far as we know he was. there have to be others around before 2008 we just don't know yet

And he said Stark is "part of a much bigger universe" too.

Seriously the phrase "you are not the only (fill in the blank) around" is a very old phrase used in many contexts. Often times, said to people in context of it's not all about them. I'm not going to let a Fury quote worry me.

rented 'Wallstreet,' 'Fatal Attraction,' and 'Perfect Murder' over the weekend. this movie is going to be so cool. I'm kind of angry that Pym gets Douglas and Lang has to settle for Rudd. and this is someone who really likes Paul Rudd writing. he's just not as good at playing edgy as Douglas. MCU Pym is someone who could compete with Nick Fury. in fairness, MCU Lang is someone who could probably at least hang out with Tony Stark.

on another note, I hope that Maria (Pym's first wife) makes it into the movie; even if it's just a photo.

You should see The Game if you haven't already.
