Homecoming Michael Giacchino is the Composer for Spider-Man: Homecoming

As opposed to the music in the MCU? lol and in WHAT WORLD is this theme generic:

Let's remember he also gave us Magneto's fantastic theme from First Class:

Don't expect anything even remotely as great for Thanos as long as Silvestri is making the music.

What you love about The Avengers "theme" is the 20 second part at the end, but its not really a theme. The only good theme Silvestri made in the MCU is the Captain America March, he was perfect for the cheesy uplifting tone of that movie but not for the Infinity War movies.

Well the Transformers theme has over 30 Million views on Youtube so I'm sure at least someone remembers it

LMAO, the Transformers theme is synonymous with the franchise. It's super memorable for me and evidently, millions of others. Silvestri's music just sounds too cheesy and whimsical and that's not the right tone for an EPIC like Infinity War. If we had gotten Jablonsky he would've given us an awesome Thanos theme (see Decepticons, Fallen and Lockdown theme) same with Jackman who could've tapped into his Winter Soldier score.

See, they could've gone with Jablonsky or Jackman but they went with the best choice instead

I mean, the Avengers theme is literally the most iconic theme in the MCU. Jackman had his chance in CW and everyone in the soundtrack section of the Civil War forum said it was highly underwhelming.

I like Jackman - his Civil War score was good, and his Uncharted 4 score was incredible. I'd have been happy if he got Avengers.

But that said... Silvestri is a fantastic composer, and returning to him for the score makes total sense.

In this Collider interview with Jon Watts. Watts talks about the music @ the 3:00 mark. He mentions that Giacchino, whose name he mispronounces, wrote a version of the classic S-M theme, which played as an intro as Holland appeared on the panel.

So there's a possibility that Giacchino might get the scoring gig after all.

He scored the whole panel. Feige thanks him for the music at the end when theyre gonna take a group picture

As somebody who cares more about the score of this film then the actual film itself, there are just way, way too many good composers do this film, and without knowing that -exact- style, it's hard to pick one. I want to say John Powell, but people go straight to How To Train Your Dragon with that, and that is honestly one of the most beautiful scores, but they should be heading towards this more when it comes to John.

1:28 onwards, Spidey lifting that thing that falls on him in that famous sewer comic and he has to force it up.

The most underrated Superhero theme to ever exist, in my opinion.

For Michael Giacchino, here, go to 1:52 onwards, and imagine something like that in a Spidey film, done correctly.

Music is the most imporant part of these things, and Marvel does seem to go generic route with most of them. Not counting Winter Soldier and the Avengers theme. An iconic hero, deserves a iconic theme, or it'll be nothing.

1:48 onwards, no words needed.

Holy ****, that Speed Racer track practically SCREAMED Spider-Man, especially 2:10 onwards.. :wow: I think you won me over on Giacchino.

I like Giacchino's score for The Incredibles. That jazzy 60's superhero score would be perfect for Spidey. In general, Giacchino makes scores with great feeling. I'd love him to come up with a score and incorporate the 60's cartoon theme.

I would love Danny Elfman or Christopher Young to come back or John Williams as a new composer.

I would love Danny Elfman back but I dont think he has two iconic Spider-Man theme's in him. John Williams is not possible. He doesnt even do anymore original scores for original movies. He is now in Star Wars rehashing his old material and notes, doing mixes of new hope and darth vader theme's for rehashing Star Wars movie for younger generations. Just sad franchise altogether, but back on topic.

We will likely get someone forgettable with forgettable score or someone known who will make forgettable score like Marvel's always do for their movies . Anything more than that I will be suprised.

John Williams has said that besides scoring the new Star Wars movies (sans Rogue One and all the spin-offs), he's basically retired. Sorry to say.

Anyway, I would love for Giacchino to score Homecoming.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Zimmer again, though I'm not sure Marvel would hire someone like him.
