Did the title of the thread just change or am I going f-ing insane?

Microsoft usually has great press conferences. This one was just limited because they were only showing games that will release in the next five months.
http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=168025&site=cvgPersonally, I think that they just weren't prepared well enough for the new E3 format and they tried to treat it as the old one.
All three companies seemed unprepared for it, but Microsoft seemed to be the worst at it. Microsoft seemed to be too used to the old E3 format (the audience probably would have applauded thunderously at the Halo 3 Xbox 360 in the Old E3), and Sony was able to do a lot of damage control (mostly because last E3 was so s**tty for them and well, they had some pretty cool stuff).
The least Microsoft should have done was make some new announcements, they should have focused less on the multiplatform games (Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, and Resident Evil 5), shown some 2008 stuff, and focus less on Halo 3 and more on Halo Wars, Mass Effect, etc.
And seriously, Viva Pinata: Party Animals. At least Rare isn't wasting their time with this crap.
Here's to hoping that next year, they will get the new format down a bit better, which I bet they will. But I doubt it will be much better. E3 has been killed by this boring ass format. Even Hideo Kojima said that it sucks and they want to return to the old format. And I honestly expect it to die out eventually because of it.
That sucks, E3 would have been a lot better if we got to see Halo 3 being played Live. Maybe we'll see some of it today... if not, X07 might be a little too late to show it off. Halo comes out like, THAT week.Apparently the reason Jade Raymond and her accomplice had a few issues with the live playable demo (that was a bit buggy in places) was that the Montreal development studio had to rush to get something ready for the show as the request of Microsoft. This apparently happened because Bungie couldn't get a playable demo of Halo 3's single-player campaign ready to show in time.
