Millar and Hitch Back on FF!!!

And oh yeah, and they plan on it being monthly!

Yeah, we'll see. :p

It'll be awesome, I'd buy just about anything from these two. I'm sure it won't hurt FF's sales any either.

Well, they have given Hitch a year's head start this time so I suppose he should be able to complete the first 12 issues by the time they take over in January 2008.

I guess we need to be prepared for major delays. An issue here, 4 months later, another, etc..

If thats the artwork, not real impressed...

Hitch is sort of hit and miss for me.... yeah, he puts a lot of detail in there but I've yet to see him do a Kirby style action scene that knocks my metal booties off. One has to wonder what Kirby would do with the luxury of a year's time to get out the 4 or 5 issues Hitch says he has done so far.

By the way, I had to laugh at someone's remark on the CBR message board that said Reed looks like George Bush! He's known to use photo references for his characters, like Samuel L. Jackson for the Ultimate version of Nick Fury.

Also, I'm not sure of Hitch's thoughts on one of the most beautiful women in Marveldom, but his opinion of that is much different than mine....

Hitch is hit or miss with me. If he can deliver the goods, on time, and establish consistent looks for the characters, then I'll be impressed.

I know I'm late on this, but I hope they bring FF to the top ten in sales at least. I'm not too sure about the "art" of the mag though. And I don't just mean the penciling.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Hitch is utterly fantastic, but that's not a good reputation of his work. Not that the art is bad, just that what he's drawing in those pages isn't that exciting.

If you really want to see what he can do, look at Ultimates.

Aaaaah....I see......I'll do that then, before passing judgment....:yay:

Here's probably his best...

Yeah, I've seen that before. I like all, except for Reed. He looks like a 12 year old geek. I don't mind a hot geek.....lol, but he's not a handsome older geek, he looks 12......but the others I really like.

It's the Ultimate Universe; Reed IS a 12 year old geek. :oldrazz:

I like his Ultimate Reed. I like Land's better. But I like the distinction. Really helps me seperate Ultimate Reed and 616 Reed.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Is the first issue really supposed to come out in January?

Millar:“It’s the classic FF better than you’ve ever seen them drawn. Bryan is taking it to a new 21st century level.”

I'm assuming Millar means POST-Kirby.
