    NICE variation on Kirby krackle!

I guess this settles the question of whether Doom's belief in his own nobility will allow him to lift the hammer.
...unless that cover is a complete misrepresentation.

    I believe that's supposed to be a stand-alone story.

The Asgardian Gods are currently "dead" in the Marvel Universe...it's possible that the enchantment about being worthy died with Odin...we'll find out soon enough, i imagine.

There's gotta be something up. I mean, i think Doom is great. He's my favorite villian and I think he's one of the greatest characters in the history of comics. He has his own nobility and honor, but I just can't see him picking up the hammer when people like Tony Stark and Peter Parker couldn't. No matter how honorable Doom is, he's still a villain and a ruthless dictator-and he's an enemy of Thor's to boot.

I sure hope he doesn't end up being the one who kills the FF members who die (until somebody brings them back). I really hope he doesn't do it with the hammer.

Thor isn't dead is he? Isnt he just kind of "sleeping"? Or atleast thats what i got out of Dissasembled...or did something happen after that?

Good point Kurosawa but neither SPider-man or Ironman ever tried to lift the hammer i dont think. And i doubt they view themselves as 100% nobil or honorable, but Doom is cockey enough to think he is so maybe thats all that is needed.

    Classic Doom is back baby!

No magician doom, or crappy movie Doom. The real Doom's here, and I sure hope to god FF's writer gets him this time.

    :D Doom! :D

I remember reading an interview with Micheal Straczynski, were he mentioned that Doom would win when he would bring him back, for a change. Finally. I've been waiting for Doom crushing the FF and then NOT losing just after that for years.

And I hope Doom's a major player behind Civil War. Step aside Magneto, Doom's here.

Agreed. I have no doubt Doom will beat the holy crap out of the FF. Marvel has said that they are bringing Thor back. What better way than have HIM come back and fight Doom for ownership of Mjolner?

It's okay, but WHY?? Why not just reprint the first one with a different color logo? The Hitch one is nice, but compared to the glorious "Doom triumphant" cover, it looks third rate.

^Because they know obsessive fanboy collectors will buy any variation just for the sake of it being a variation...

re: Thor's hammer. Captain America has lifted it, and I think Spider-Man, too!
