These are the true big films the others really could go any way. Some of those don't even deserve to be on that list.

There are alot of great movies on the list.....the question is how well will they do at the boxoffice???

If they are talking stricly about movies they are phyched to see, I agree with 1,2,3,6,9,18, and mabey 20. Critics view of the sequel I feel will be criticle. I think this one may suffer from a hang over from the 1st one as far as critics go, but if they give this one a favoriable review, then that will bode well. The movie will be more suscufull then the 1st, but if the critics like it, that will be a bonus.

If they are talking box office suscess, POTC 3, SM 3, HP, Shrek 3, then everyone else. POTC 3 is going to be a monster once again. 2nd one ended with $ 1,065,659,812 WW. It ranks # 1 in 20 different cataglories. :wow: :ninja: 1st 2 movies have made $ 1,719,573,730 WW.

Yeah if it's a box office list American Gangster won't be making anywhere near FF/SS money and Grindhouse at 5 is stupid,it's an R rated nerds wet dream but hardly a blockbuster, same with the admittedly brilliant looking 300

The FF franchise still seems to have to prove itself, in many people's eyes.

Hopefully this year it WILL.

They didn't put the name of FF...AGAIN!

Well if you were not pumped to see the 1st one, why would you be pumped to see the 2nd one, unless something jumps out and grabs you about the sequel ? Why I think critics reviews will be more important for this one, plus Foxs marketing. Either way this one will make more then the 1st, but will it be able to shake the negative reviews, and luke warm word of mouth the 1st one got, will be the ultimate key to how well the sequel does. And mabey we may have to realize that some comic franchises may not transfer well onto the big screen, and mabey FF is one of them.

Yes, there's unquestionably a stigma attached to the FF franchise in most entertainment writers' minds, which is understandable to some extent.

I notice Ghost Rider isn't on the list either, and I'll bet it out-performs at least a quarter of the films that did make the list. Personally I'm witholding enthusiasm for GR til I see it, but from what I can tell, there's real anticipation out there for it.

For the most part, it doesn't mean a thing.

The list must have a different criteria to it as no way anyone thinks Grindhouse is gonna make more than Shrek 3,it must be based on quality expectations and general anticipation of the project

I promise you that far fewer people are going to see GrindHouse and 300 than FF2. Maybe it's not a boxoffice list?

The list was not based on box office potential, but what they are most anxious to see. So lets get the thing straight here. It's what am I looking forward to see the most, not where will they finish box office wise.

It is based on, if I'm not mistaken, the movies that they believe moviegoers are looking forward to those with alot of buzz on the internet......and they try and give a nod to all types of movies and moviegoers.....no it is not based on what they think these movies will make at the boxoffice.....I mentioned that simply to say that many thought there was not much buzz the last time for F4......and yet it still did very well at the Boxoffice.....just mentioned for discussion sake.....nothing else....:cwink:

I see, well i can see a great number of them indeed having better buzz etc than the FF sequel but these ones baffle me

16. Beowulf -more limited in every way

15. The Nanny Diaries-has no trailer or anything to make it more anticipated

14. Be Kind Rewind- what is this ?

10. Knocked Up-Again huh ? i know it's got the girl from Grey's anatomy in it but i seriously doubt it has better buzz than FF2

#16....I agree....but Angelina Jolie gets buzz just being Angelina....

#15....this is actually being talked about in all kinds of formats not just the internet.....

#14....2 words....Jack Black *rolls eyes*

#10....its all about Judd Apatow, director of "40 year old Virgin"....and Katherine Heigle....star of the #1 show on TV....

#10 yeah....well until this week....American Idol just had its biggest season opener ever....so thats pretty much unbeatable by anyone.....Grey's Anatomy was #6 behind AI and the NFL playoff games....as far as regular series TV it was #1 once again...

When it comes to sequels your previous movie(s) have to prove themselves to the majority of fans/average movie goers and the box office as well, that's how you get respect. FF2 has a chance to do this, which FF1 didn't, we'll see.

I see, I wasn't here last year. So I am new at learning this

Be Kind Rewind what the hell is that? A doc about how you should always rewind your vhs tapes before returning to after watching them? lol.

Synopsis:

Be Kind Rewind
Directed by Michel Gondry ('Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind'), this comedy stars Jack Black as Jerry, whose plans to sabotage a power plant go awry. Now magnetized, he accidentally erases every tape at the video store where his friend Mike (Mos Def) works. But their most loyal customer -- an elderly woman whose mind is starting to slip -- still expects to see her favorite movies, so Jerry and Mike set out on the near-impossible task of re-creating every movie in the store.
