Action-Adventure Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning/The Final Reckoning

Yeah that was pretty good. Keanu has some great lines too.

“Yeah.” - John Wick

“Yeah.” - John Wick 2

“Yeah.” - John Wick 3

“Yeah.” - John Wick 4
And now Anjelica Huston joins their ranks with…

“Fine.” - Ballerina

Actually all of Keanu's lines in all of the John Wick movies end with a question mark.

Weirdly, I think Keanu is a better actor as a CGI character. I think the best performances of his entire career are Cyberpunk 2077 and that Armored Core/Secret Level episode.

Yeah I enjoyed this a good bit. It was slow at times, and while I did enjoy the callbacks to the previous movies and some revelations from them, they didn't need to show us the same moment from those movies 2/3 times, and this would have cut the run time a nice amount also.

Hayley and Pom were great, and both looked great while doing it. Luther had a small but really important role and Pegg was a lot more serious here than in previous entries.

I thought the submarine sequence was shot brilliantly and very anxiety inducing. The bi-plane sequence was good but was a little too self-indulgent for me at the same time and also needed cutting down a bit. It also was a bit too similar to the helicopter finale from Fallout.

Overall though this was probably the most serious and emotional M:I movie so far and it has real stakes especially at the end. I predicted pretty much how they would deal with the entity a whole ago but it was still an interesting villain and not just something they could punch to defeat. I didn't notice much if any CGI in the movie which was really refreshing to see also. And Cruise as always bring us the death defying goods.

8/10.

The emotionality of the piece is why I ranked The Final Reckoning at Number 1.
I have never been so moved by an MI film as much as this hit me.

Yeah they got that part spot on. I thought they would add a bit more emotion with it being the finale, but the last 10/20 mins especially they nailed it.

Tom really is a gift to us as far as the entertainment industry. He has given and continues to give his all in providing the best movie-going experience possible. That last picture on the above post says it all.
