Monster House

It always annoys me when folks roll out during credits,in this case it was rather important to hang for a bit to kind of tie up loose ends

I saw this flick in polarized 3D. Hell of an experience. Great movie, and I hear the video game is good too. Plan to get that soon.

This was the first 3D movie I really enjoyed.
I want to see it again :O

Excellent movie. I took my 5-year-old kid to watch it. There were parts when she was genuinely creeped out and left her seat to sit on my lap and held on to me. She did say, however, that she'd watch it again.

Now I'm gonna watch it again. But this time I'm gonna bring with me a hot 20-year-old and see if she'd sit on my lap. :D

Glimpsed through the book. I dunno, but wouldn't using mo-cap in an animated feature considered... cheating?

Zemeckis doesn't really consider Polar Express or Monster House traditional animated films because of the use of motion capture technology. He seems to think this is the future of "virtual actors," but they made the actors intentionally look cartoony in Monster House because people complained the characters in Polar Express were "creepy."

Other traditional cel animated features have used rotoscoping, which is a spiritual precursor to motion capture in 3d features, so to me it's just a tool you still have to create the characters and color the world like any animated feature.

I loved this movie. Chowder was great, especially the whole mom is at the movies with her personal trailer line. :woot:

I have this on order with Slither, as of right now they are both in the mail & on their way to my house.:D
