Moon Knight

I had a problem understanding too, but I think he was quite simply imagining how he would undertake the project. Not just by writing the script, but choosing actors, etc., guiding us along as if this film was going on... kind of like an imaginary film project, showing every aspect of production.
That's what it was...

Space Ghost is also that, but it will HOPEFULLY happen...I REALLY want to do that film WAAAAY more than MK! And I have the support of a LOT of Hypers already, so that's good. I plan on pitching the SG idea to Warner Bros. in about 9-12 years, depending on if I have any success or not. Hope so! :woot:

I'm not an "established" writer/director/producer yet, but I will be in the next 2-5 years. (mostly small small films....probably not theater films...but you know, whatever you can do)

And BTW...how freaking ironic is it that a few days after I announced I wasn't doing the film anymore, BAM! A TV show! I'm happy though...hopefully they aren't doing the show the same way as Blade: The Series. Sell the show to a better channel...Sci Fi Channel perhaps?

Anyways guys, thanks for everything and I hope that cleared everything up.

Marvel Pacts with No Equal for Moon Knight

Marvel Studios, a division of Marvel Entertainment, Inc. and Vancouver based production company, No Equal Entertainment, have entered into an agreement to develop a live-action television series based on Marvel's cult favorite Moon Knight. The announcement was made today by David Maisel of Marvel Entertainment and Larry Sugar of No Equal Entertainment.

First introduced by Marvel Comics in the mid-1970s, Moon Knight remains a true fan favorite as evidenced by the current best-selling comic book series featuring the Super Hero. Moon Knight presents the story of soldier of fortune Marc Spector. After an encounter with the Egyptian god of vengeance and the moon deity Konshu, he became a hero: Moon Knight. The encounter leaves the tormented Spector with even more inner demons to combat. Now as Moon Knight, he hunts criminals in the night, bringing them to justice, and striking fear in the hearts of criminals everywhere. Moon Knight's blend of action, the supernatural, and complex, intriguing characters will serve as the foundation for the live-action series.

"'Moon Knight' has all the elements for an engaging television series. No Equal Entertainment has a real passion for the project and an amazing vision of how to bring the character and storyline to life that will appeal to action and sci-fi enthusiasts," said Mr. Maisel.

The production will be spearheaded by No Equal Entertainment's Sugar. Sugar brings to the project over 35 years experience as a Hollywood executive and producer. His track record includes a wide array of global television series, including: "The Collector," "Romeo," "First Wave," "Dead Man's Gun," and "So Weird."

Mr. Sugar added, "We are delighted to be in business with Marvel Entertainment and believe that 'Moon Knight' will make a compelling and long-lasting television series."

I wonder what type of actor they'll be able to get... budget and all that.

Ok now I'm on board, thx for breaking it down because I was getting completely confused. Good luck C.A.H. alot of famous film makers started small (Peter Jackson, Sam Rami). I have a neighbor going to Vancouver Canada for 6 mounth of TV writing school. At the end he should write his own piolet tv show.
I hope the Moon Knight Tv thing works out, it was a crazy coincedence.

I just hope they give it more the treatment you had in mind & not a "Night Man" kind of show.

Is Nightman the show where he played saxaphone in a jazz club??

That was hilariously awful.. Unfortunately it worries me now bc every time I think of a superhero show I think of that.

I'm going to vote NO in the Mook Knight election-
I don't think we need a treatment for every character we like.

I think were headed for a comic movie letdown of serious proportion-at least as far as us fans are concerned If everything gets made. I think the range is about 85% as far as acecptionable - 'hey I remember where i was when I heard June 23, 1989 was the release date for a Batman movie' goes pertaining to the show of movies we've been provided with.

How many romantic comedies have there been? How many dramas about war? Tons. And Hollywood won't just up and stop making them. Why? They are a good platforms for a story, and when done well, they make for good and financially viable films. Now of course, there are clunkers, but you don't drop a genre based on that alone.

Likewise, the problem with comic adaptations isn't the number, it's in the quality. There have been clear cut winners, some losers, and those in between, just like any other genre. I think there are a lot of characters that can work in the realm of TV and film, they just have to be presented with care and not haphazardly.

Sure, but i dont' want to go through a bunch of 'Nightman's, and M.A.N.T.I.S.'s and whatever else.

Costumed heroe's - I luv em' - but they are handicapped when it comes to live action. A caring/true approach is often to dark for T.V. and the casual fan does get confused, (is this a Batman show??)
and I don't want to saturate - then you get Man-Thing direct to DVD's
