Moon Knight

Thanks Batman for the insight...

..it always helps to hear what the fans want.

But right now in the treatment, Marc only takes the cloak/his MK cape from Khonshu's tomb.

We'll see what happens next...

You're on the right track with what you described about the origin for the film. How he discovers Khonshu. How he defeats Bushman, and later adapts the identity of Steven Grant, millionaire. As well as Jake Lockley, taxicab driver. So when he establishes his arsenal of weapons, (whenever you have him do so), I'm sure you'll find a way to bring them in.

Thanks Batman.

I really took everything from what I've read and pieced it all together.

But it all shifts gears when the Werewolf by Night/Jack Russell comes into the picture.

How do you plan on introducing Russell?

Any more casting news?
No, not yet. I'm not too concerned with casting just yet...

The way I have it in mind is that Marc Spector joins the Committee after he is told about it by Jean/"Frenchie". When MK goes after the Werewolf on one of his first Committee missions, he learns that the Committee just wanted to capture the werewolf to use him to kill their enemies.

After that he is so disgusted with the Committee that he releases Jack Russell and they team up to take on the Committee. After this is over, the film reintroduces an old friend...

Id love to see a MK film, but if only Stephen Norrington would come back and give it the Blade 1 treatment. Damn you Sean Connery!

what does mr connerey have to do with this?

Connery played studio politics on the set of LXG, getting the script and the film edited to his liking over Norrington's head. Norrington was so shaken by the experience he quit Hollywood altogether.

I think Cole Hauser would make a really good Marc Spector. He has that 'edge' necessary for Moon Knight.

Exactly however Ive heard recent reports where Sir Connery was also blaming the producers for ruining the film LXG. But when I think of Moon Knight I think of Blade 1 which in my opinion is the best Marvel film hands down. Norrington has such a distinct and unique visual style, only Norrington can do Moon Knight Justice. Any advice on how to contact Norrington? Marvel really needs this guy and b.a.d!!!

I'm not very familiar with Cole Hauser, but don't worry...there will soon be MK film news (casting bits and story/character info).

It's coming in the next week or so...

Norrington would do a good job, but I can't say he's the only guy who could do it. Alex Proyas (The Crow, Dark City, I, Robot) could kick ass with Moon Knight, too.

I havent seen Irobot, is it any good?

marlena fontaine you mean?:ninja:

Guys, you might be happy or sad to hear that I've dropped the MK project.

No more shall I work on it...

...it's not because I want to make you all mad, or anything like that. It's that I really don't know a lot about him, his origins, etc. and I haven't ever read a MK comic.

I really just read his bio from www.marvel.com and some info on Wikipedia, but that's it.

I feel like I've got a solid thing with "Space Ghost" and I should maybe let someone else who knows more about Mk do his film. You know what I mean?

Plus, I have a lot of other projects I'm developing to do BEFORE "Space Ghost" so you can all see my prediciment.

I hope you're not mad...

You do realize that post sounds somewhat self important.

ehh leave him alone if his heart aint in it then we wont get a decent film. Mishandled a MK movie would come off as a Batman rip off. But I do encourage you when you have time to pick up a few of his comics. Spector is like a semi evolved Punisher being that he actually has guilt over killing villains, but he does kill. Im not mad. Just want to see a writer handle MK the right way, because Moon Knight could be a blockbuster film, instead of a direct to DVD release.

Well being honest about it, is definitely the way to go. If you dont think you can do it justice, pass & move on. Can always return to it at a later time.

No that's not what I meant. I meant he has not really been commissioned by Marvel or a Production studio to write a Moon Knight script, so doing it or not doing is immaterial.

EXACTLY what I am trying to say here.

I didn't stop just because I wanted to, or because I all of a sudden wanted to piss you guys off. I did it because my heart isn't in the MK film like it is with Space Ghost, so I feel that for now (and maybe forever), it'd be best to stop.

I'm sorry to anyone who's disappointed, but I truly feel like this film is not for me. And like some others said, it's better to have someone who has their heart in the film to do it than me. All of my heart is in SG, and will be until that trilogy is over.

Once again, sorry. Are we cool? :word:

That came as a kind of shock. Nevermind.
I know it did...and all I can say is that I'm sorry. Truly, I am sorry.

Nevermind, it was good while it lasted.

It should probably be added here aswell that Variety have announced a T.V. show's going to be made.

I'm sort of lost here, is C.A.H. an established Producer/Director? No disrepect but I can't make a connection from these posts. Seems a bit strange to read all this hype and build up only to have it end abruptly saying you don't know or understand the character and a lame apoligy. The whole thread here seems juvinile and delusionary. If I misread C.A.H. somebody please help me here.

I had a problem understanding too, but I think he was quite simply imagining how he would undertake the project. Not just by writing the script, but choosing actors, etc., guiding us along as if this film was going on... kind of like an imaginary film project, showing every aspect of production.
