Revenge of the Fallen More Michael Bay Confusion

Maybe he's lying about shooting in Philly??? LOL

This is pretty stupid, why make up false info and then come on to confirm it's false after stating they will be putting out false info, WTF? Doesn't that seem a little.......hmm, pointless. That's like me saying "ok guys I'm going to tell you all lies to throw you off track, but don't worry I'll come back and tell you if it's true after".

:huh:x100

There's diverting the fans attentions and then there is completely mindfracking us....

I really really hope Bay doesn't go overboard with this false info business, i can see some people getting fed up with it all and losing interest with the movie if he does

I don't care what he does. Nothing can make me lose interest in a Transformers movie.

only a fan would be mad becasue they are giving away false info.

its in a way smart and fun. dont be mad because you wont know 100% the whole story one year before the premiere.

one of the stories that will leak will be true. but i think until 2009 we wont know for sure.

If any of you peeps were here in the TF boards last time around then you would know how much fun we are going to miss out on this time around :csad:

I agree,if he is going to give us any bones it should only be stuff all of us or most of us care about. There is no way he can manage to let us in on nothing leaving us to find out about basically everything when the movie is out, last time I too spoiled myself too much because of so much info and pics that were leaked.

He is doing this becaues the first film was so f'n bad and stupid he fears certain fans opinion on the next one. Look back at the first movie; bad script, lame actors, renaming of certain transformers, playing hide and seek around a house, pointless sector 7, should I go on?

Fan influence is what helped the first movie

I really don't know how much influence we really had with Bay himself. With the writers maybe, because they were actually speaking to the fans through various internet forums... but Bay wasn't really speaking with us, moreso speaking at us.

This makes me think of poker. According to the rules, the only thing your are not allowed to tell your opponent is the truth. So, perhaps he's lying about the info being false.

That would be my guess. He's trying to make us think, that what we thought, isn't what he's thinking, but in all reality what we thought and are thinking are the same things hes thinking.

Keeping you guessing and puzzled is, I believe, the point.

Let's face it, we live in an era now where it's almost impossible for Hollywood to keep secrets anymore. Look at all of the info we had on the first movie. All the info on Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Batman, etc... By doing what he's doing, Bay is effectively keeping secrets. Even if he is hiding them in plain sight.

I was directing it more so at the movie as a whole ie Peter Cullen, Megatron head change, Ironhide rather then Arcee, etc. I agree what Bay is doing is probably the best way to confuse fans then any other way, but why go to all this trouble to keep fans out of the loop. Think about it, what is it exactly he is hoping to achieve through this course of action? Is this for his own satisfaction because of the hard time fans gave him in the first movie?

Uh, maybe fans get to the theatre and don't know what they are going to get? Maybe make the movie a total surprise for the fans? There was so much disdain for the first film before it was even released, a lot of folks didn't give it a fair chance. Maybe this time, he's trying to avoid that?

Don't you think that's up to the fans to decide if they want to spoil it for themselves or not?

.............unless that's false as well :csad:
