i mean Nell got flamed because even if he believed in Ratner , he had a hard time to believe that it could top X2.And that's not like he tried to convince people .

The first two movies varied from the source. So will this one. We knew this from the beginning.

Bryan Singer moved on, he chose to do something else. Vaughan wasn't up to the job, Brett took it on. We knew that last year.

Bryan asked James Marsden to join him. He did. Scheduling and studio politics came into play. We knew that last year.

Zak and Simon are not trying to upset people, Brett isn't trying to make a crap movie - he had two great templates to follow (X1 and X2), a returning cast, a continuing storyline.

Everyone who moans only complains about what they don't personally like and everything else is fine. Their idea of perfect is not everyone's. No movie is perfect, and no one on here or off here has the perfect formula for an X3 movie. Because there isn't one. Some of you would add Sentinels, some wouldn't. Some would do this, some would do that. Everyone thinks they are a better film-maker, a better writer, a better actor, a better reviewer. But, guess what, you aren't the ones doing the movie.

Hey some people wanted to flame me when Mirko had the new running and that didn't really bother me. I just moved on. Running time changed all the time and it happens.

Well, that would be a boring thread too.

But it's possible to have constructive criticism without thinking that Fox executives are sitting around in a dark room Mr. Burns-style thinking only of new ways of making fans miserable, or over-analyzing every 30-second clip and review like the fate of the world depends on it.

It's just a movie. It's ok to like it, and it's ok to hate it. If you wanted to freak out over the whole AICN affair last year, go ahead...but if people wanted to not worry about it and feel the movie would work anyway, that was ok too. There just doesn't seem to be any middle road there.
