Right. If I can watch Nobody and believe that Saul Goodman is a trained assassin who can take out a bus full of psychopaths, then a Mortal Kombat movie should be able to convince me that any of its cast members can believably win a one-on-one fight. Lewis Tan is a marital artist in real life but you would never know it from watching this crap.

Very disappointing news to here they’ve decided to bring the first director instead of opting to go with a different(and hopefully better director) to elevate things and make a better movie for the sequel. I guess studios really don’t care that much for quality control when it comes to video game movies, lol.

Which is sad since there are SO many stories and spinoffs you could do with a mythology as deep as Mortal Kombat’s.

MK doesn't really have to be this hard to get right. Neither does/did Tomb Raider. Or Uncharted.

The first movie was the way it was because of endless studio mandates. The former regime didn’t believe in the MK property and as a result forced in a bunch of crap like the Cole Young character and the arcana stupidity.

Do they even listen to the problems most had with the first? So the same lame no screen presence cast will be returning with that director. Yeah too many options to accept this type of mediocrity. Hope one day we will get an awesome adaption to this property.

Welp their goes any chances of this movie even being a slight improvement over the first because once again these studios just prove how much they don't care about these franchises let alone the fans.

I just don't get it man and what's worse is that this kind of stuff just keeps happening to my two favorite childhood, videogame franchises being Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat.

I'm honestly sick of it and it only makes the Sonic movies look that much better. It's a damn shame we can get that same kind of care and effort put into more of these adaptations, but it is what is I guess.

I still don’t get why they didn’t go with Jax’ more biomechanical looking arms if they were so committed to magic-robot-appendages.

But then again, I don’t get a lot of things about this movie.

Same im not going to even bother with the Netflix resident evil show seen a few scenes online and F that !!

Unless they kill him off in the opening, but I doubt that. Even though it seems like Boon is more involved, unless he’s just trying to hype it up unlike the last one.
