Mortal Kombat reboot, or MK3 ?

Don't watch Chun-Li.
It's probably the second worst movie I've ever seen.
I wonder if there is anything worth on Dragonball to watch. I'm not even curious about it.

This movie should be nothing like either of those. MK is a fantasy world so that explains all of the fireballs & stuff without it being corny.

Yeah, no explanation is the best. People don't question Harry Potter or stuff like that so MK shouldn't be different.

there shouldn't be an overload of power usage in mk, but things like sub-zero being able to conjure ice, shang tsung shapeshifting, scorpion being a spectre and using fire, raiden being a god and certain things like that should not be played down. we need to have a world where these things aren't exactly 'common' but definetly exist and we need to feel comfortable in knowing its not there just because. there should be enough info to understand that sub-zero comes from a whole clan of ninja that study ice and whatnot.

things like johnny cage having his soul kick and things of that nature, i'm not too sure how they would approach that, but he wouldn't be the main character and would just need to have great skill in fighting. sonyas kiss of death doesn't necesarilly need to be used even tho the concept of how it was used in the 2nd mk movie could work. but shes got he leg grab and some other signature moves. i'd like to see kano shoot a laser out of his eye, scorpion have his spear (which by newer games looks not to come out of his hand anymore like the old movie) among other elements that the games portray.

see,my main concern is if they make one movie and dont' have plans of making at least 2 more they are going to go overboard (i hope not) with stuff in the 1st movie just to throw things out there to the fans. but if they do too much then future movies will seem repetitive in a small way. i dont' want to see liu kang do a bicycle kick in every movie but i wouldn't mind seeing some kind of hint at it that doesn't break the laws of gravity. maybe falling or something with somebody under him, have the camera go sideways so we have the signature look. things like that would be great to see in a creative way

sub zero is descended from a people of outworld, and is possibly the last with frost, these people had control over ice, they are caled crtomancers, johnny cage has a shadow kick, an raiden was used and performed perfectly in mk1, lui used the kick on reptile in mki and it did seem a little odd, even for that movie, but a more real version were hes only int he air a few seconds would be nice

there are many realms, earthrealm, netherrealm, seido/orderrealm, chaosrealm, outworld, edenia, saurian homerealm(even though they are native to earth) vampirerealm, these are just the onesshown so far

The different realms thing would be a good way to explain the powers. He comes from so & so, she comes from there, etc... If you don't believe too bad, you shouldn't be watching this in the first place then.

I'd love for the movie to follow two story lines, I'd like to see the journey of lui kang and the earth realm warriors, and I'd like to see it follow the sub zero/scorpion rivalry and have both stories intertwine.

A Subzero & Scorpion subplot is needed, those are the icons of MK afterall.

They should just make it a prequel type reboot about Kung Lao. Then they can put in Sub Zero and Scorpion and their rivalry and they could throw in all sorts of characters without having to worry about continuity or re-hashing the exact same "tournament" story.

Make Quan Chi the villain and bam, you're set.



And as for Chun Li, I almost turned it off multiple times but Chris Klein kept me watching because his performance was so unintentionally hilarious I couldn't bring myself to turn it off. This is absolutely bizarre but even though I found the movie horrid beyond belief I had the urge to watch it again the next night just because it's so bad it's fun to watch and laugh at. Bison's Irish accent slays me it's so damn funny.

Yeah and he looks ridiculous. Robin Shou is still the man though. He also appeared in DOA so I guess he has a knack for movies based on fighting videogames.

As for recasting, like I said I really hope they don't do another Liu Kang story unless it's a direct sequel. They should go with Kung Lao.
