Whether it's a reboot or a sequel, I hope it revolves around Kung Lao. If it's a sequel, they could do the "death of Liu Kang" like in the games and have Kung Lao going for revenge on the Deadly Alliance.

And who cares who plays Scorpion? You only see his eyes...as long as he's a good martial artist I don't even care who plays him.

but scorp was so badass in mk 1 and that was cassamasa, mkc was his first time as the character unmasked

My idea is that we should have khalil kain in the suit doin all the actin and fightin. but b4 that we see an actual japanese actor while he's an assassin and after he gets killed and brought back from hell its khalil. i know he's black but scorpion is just a skull anyway, even though his arms are still an asian's arms i wouldnt mind see him with light brown arms.lol. but khalil's part chinease anyway which is close enough to japaneas, anyway he would be great cause he can play a roughneck character like scorp and he know's hapkido so he wouldnt have a problem with the fightin. good man to put behind the mask. i would also like to see him use his swords. PLEASE, SOMEBODY AGREE WITH ME!

I really personally think they should go with a reboot, largely due to the fact that the cast from the first movie has really aged, plus it could open better possibilities to be explored.

As for the cast...

Liu Kang: Stephen Chow

Johnny Cage: Josh Duhamel

Sonya: Katee Sackhoff

Raiden: Ken Watanabe (I'm totally open to other suggestions)

Kung Lao: James Kyson Lee

Kitana: Odette Yustman

For Sub-Zero and Scorpion, I'm sure any ol' stunt guy good with martial arts would do.

Zero/Scorp's u could do it with stuntman,but that can't be these puny ones used in MK2,they were terrible.

I was gonna say tyrease for jax too, i think tony jaa could do either kung lao or liu kang. IMO odette yustman is a lil bit young to be playin kitanna. no offense Kane52630, but i really dont wanna see an old british man playin sub-zero, and plus i dont think sub-zero should be older and taller than scorpion, it just makes the match up seem weird.

I've always wanted Bale for Sub Zero, but that'll never happen. As for the rest of the cast, I personally always pictured Watanabe as a great Quan Chi.

I don't think Tony Jaa speaks English well though.

Both of the Sub-Zero brothers are Chinese and Scorpion is Japanese, so they should at least get Asian actors for the roles.

No offense, protocida, but your Sonya pick isn't all that great; she looks too pretty and all sex-appeal as opposed to a tough-as-nails, no-nonsense Special Forces lieutenant.

For a few other characters...

Jax: Tyrese Gibson is a pretty good choice.

Kano: I'm sure there are other, possibly better choices out there, but I'm going with Jason Statham.

Goro, Kintaro, Mortaro and Sheeva: CGI with motion capture.

No thanks to Bale/Liam as it will never happen anyways,and I think u go with no named actors for sub/scorps(unless ur focusing the movie on them which won't happen),for them u just need two guys who can do martial arts.
