I love the PG-13 rating details "NonStop Martial Arts Violence"

thats pretty barebones in terms of special features. I will definitely buy the first one when its cheap enough but Im not wasting money on the second.

The first one is definitely worth buying. The second one was ****

Its been years since I've seen either movie so I can't remember the first or second one at all. I think its been 10+ years ago(I think), I was a kid.

mortal kombaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish the first film had a commentary with cast or even Ed Boon. How hard would that be?? Still will get it at some point. The 2nd I will never own.

i was in love with the first film, i would watch the scorpion and reptile fights over and over. still think the song for the reptile fight is my favorite from any fight scene, ever. the only thing i liked about the 2nd film was the smoke fight, it was the best that movie got. sorely lacking sequel. it just didnt really make much sense. they threw too many characters into that film and dumbed it down considerably. plus the effects, just the thought of that outworld cgi monster...*sudders*

Not to mention Shao Kahn was horribly miscast and a terrible villain. The Shao kahn they had at the end of the first film was what they should have kept with.

Good ol' Frank Welker was the voice of that Shao Kahn in the first one! :woot:

id list things that they should have done to keep in continuation from the first film, but there are so many its pointless.

First one is a must have......most likely i'll get annihilation just to have both films...i have to have complete sets regardless of how s****y the sequels are...

for a sec i thought you were talking about X3

When it comes to how they did the characters in Annihilation, I think some of that was our fault as fans.

Maybe I'm speaking for myself, but after the first movie came out we loved it so much and we wanted more; more characters, more fights! And we got it...unfortunately it wasn't the way we thought it would be.

I'll get the first one on Blu Ray once it goes down in price.

no, the studio just got greedy and thought the more the merrier. im glad more movies as of recently have gotten it right and scaled back certain elements of films so other character can shine. something like x3, sure, it had a lot of characters in it, but if it was a longer film it would have been better. i like that film, just hoping they can get back on track with a future 4th film. angel needs more time and we should have nightcrawler come back

Who else thought that the second film felt like a TV movie? Especially now, it looks like SyFy stuff.

I feel that if the director whose making the 'Reborn' series ends up with a hit, WB will reward him with a feature length film perhaps. Or another WB project, so he can get out of doing 'direct to DVD' movies.
