I just got the retail version for the PC, but I can't play it until April 14 because you have to connect to steam in order to install it and it's not unlocked yet. I'll also be away and won't be back until April 21. Oh well... two more weeks for me I guess.

You can't pre-load it like on the consoles now? Not that that would help your problem of not playing it, but at least it'd be there and ready to go whenever you got back.

My issue was it didn't seem in character for Sonya to be exposed like that. If I didn't know any better and person would tell me Sonya was military personnel, from Earth (realm) mind you, and they showed me her MK9 picture, I couldn't take her seriously and would think she's a stripper working a bachelor party cosplaying as SpecOps personnel. As for the Edenians, (Katana, Jade, Sindel, Tanya) one could assume that's how they dress in that realm. As for Sheeva, she no more covered than Goro or Kintaro, so she didn't stand out much for me as odd.

I just expect warriors to actually like warriors. Not like slaves of Jabba the Hutt. So I am really happy with Kitana's and Mileena's re-designs in MKX. Also glad the proportions are less over the top.

Opinions differ and all. For me, I've never been about scrutinizing little details like that. I mean, sure, if you want to argue about the sexualization, but that's a different issue. But in the context of the game, it's within a narrative that contains thunder gods, ice and fire ninjas, and all kinds of pixie dust and ********. A military officer with an exposing look really doesn't make me blink an eye in that context, considering the somewhat silly world that it inhabits.

I also didn't like Sonya's look in MK9 because it was out of character for her but I dont mind either exposed or more warrior looks for the rest.

I really like Mileena's look here though because even though she's not half nalrd,she still looks great in the pants and top with the belt buckle being a nice touch.

Yea it's pretty damn ridiculous to find issues with things like that in a world that is beyond silly. But oh well, Iv never cared one way or the other. If they wanna go over the top, great, if they wanna tone things down, awesome. Just want a good fighter.

It's funny that you mention this because in the current Warner Bros. era of MK, they're embracing the fact they're the over-the-top, dumb fun gamer, but also a technically skilled fighter at the same time. I'll gladly take both.

Variety of things, but from what I've seen:
Females "don't look sexy" even though the female designs in MK9 are generally frowned upon
Gameplay mechanics "look boring" even though MK has really evolved into technically skilled fighter from MK9 and Injustice
"Lack of content" I'm not even gonna go there as there are TONS to do in this game

Criticism is fine every now and then, but can we wait until the game actually releases and then complain?

I'm not sure what they are on about when they say this, but from my experience in MK9 and from what I've seen on streams for MKX, every character is the same on a basic level. The fundamentals, if you will. What I mean by that is everyone has the same jump height/, same run animation/speed, same knockdown jump kick, same jump punch combo starter, same anti-air uppercut most likely done with the same button as well. The flow of the Kombat ( ) looks repetitive, and thus boring.... in some people's eyes. It's nearly the equivalent (but not as bad as) to Street Fighter's fireball zoning strategy, and that only applies to 5-10% of the roster. True, MK has indeed evolved, but it's still behind some of the other fighters. They are just now doing stuff that other fighting games have been doing since the late 90's. I'll reserve full judgment when I get the game in my hands one way or another to see if the multiple styles really do change how the game is played.

I hated the female designs in the last game. They were designed like porn actresses. I'm really glad that we actually got some varied designs and not everyone looks ready to go to the beach.

Totally agree. I love MK9 but most of the designs for female characters were just not needed. X is an improvement in so many ways.

Yeah, this would be cool. I actually might the Komplete Edition for the PS4 when it does come out, but I'll be on XBONE for now. We should also compile a list of which faction everybody is going to be in (if they're joining one of course).

Sonya looked ridiculous in MK9, its not in character for her to look like a stripper, but as far as Mileena is concerned its in character for her to be "skanky" so for me I like Mileena to be scantily clad and im kinda dissapointed with how covered up she is in MKX. I'm waiting for the skanky Scorpion and Sub-Zero designs.
