I've made this decision quite some time ago. I'm only getting the complete edition. No hurry.

I don't want to wait for the complete edition until the end of the year or(most likely)sometime next year. So I'm just getting the regular game and the season pass soon after

It has an 80's horror movie feel like something out of the The Thing. D'Vorah's fatality is also an 80's thing but in stop motion form.

I Love It!

Man, I wanna be in one of those Fatality ideas meetings.

Doesn't disturb me at all,I grin like the joker..well inside in mind

Can't wait for this game! The fatalities, X-Ray moves, and brutalities are the most brutal/ gruesome the MK series has seen. I wouldn't be surprised if some one on Fox News to start complaining about the game (again) once this comes out ha. Jason better have some awesome fatalities and brutalities. I thought Freddy's were uninspired in Mortal Kombat 9.

Yeeoowww, that fatality is scary.
My younger self would probably have nightmares after seeing it.

Good to see them being creative. Before the reboot, it seemed like they'd just stopped having fun with the fatalities.

Mortal Kombat X Story Inspired By Godfather Part II Says Cinematic Director. March 16, 2015 . 10:28am

NetherRealm Studios streams gameplay footage from the Mortal Kombat X story mode.

NetherRealm Studios recently streamed a good deal of footage from Mortal Kombat X’s story mode, with members of the development team that have worked on the game’s story pitching in with their thoughts and comments.

Mortal Kombat X takes place 25 years after the story of the previous Mortal Kombat game. The stream shows off a little bit of the game’s first chapter, with characters like Johnny Cage being demoed. On the stream, NetherRealm’s cinematic director, Dominic Cianciolo, also made an interesting remark about the game’s story.

“The story for Mortal Kombat X was inspired a lot by the second of the two Godfather films, in that we have the main story which is telling our primary adventure of dealing with Outworld and civil war with Mileena and Kotal Kahn and also the threat that everyone faces,” Cianciolo said. “But at the same time then, taking spots within the story itself to do flashbacks to wrap up how the last story ended—what transpired based on the cliffhanger we left there, and also allow us to get into the history of the new character we’d added and also find out how some older characters that are returning… what happened to them before we got to the main body of the story.”

You can watch the footage from the stream above. Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14th. Last Friday, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm announced that Jason Voorhees will be a DLC character in the game, and will be included with the “Kombat Pack” DLC bundle, alongside three other characters. Additionally, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, Kenshi, and Shinnok were recently confirmed as playable characters, too.

LOL, holy hell that fatality is something else. Absolutely don't want to lose to Ermac.

I think that fatality is the grossest in MK history, actually makes me feel gross and no other fatality has done that to date lol

More than Kano pulling the beating heart out of his opponents chest? Or removing the entire skeleton out of the mouth?
I'd like to see these updated in modern graphics.

Noob Saibot's body splitting is still the goriest and most disgusting I've seen so far. That hurts down there.

I will always remember Kung Lao's hat trick, and the terrified face of the one sliced by that fatality.

That might be my favorite Fatality in any of the games thus far.

Haha yea those were great. IDK, theres just something about Ermacs up there that really gets me. I plan on using that one quite a bit as I think ill be using Ermac as one of my mains this go round.

IGN - The Mortal Kombat Xbox achievement list has been leaked and with it comes confirmation of a rumored playable character and the possibility of another returning character.

According to Test Your Might, images for the Brutal End and Can’t Stop This achievements confirm the rumored gun-toting Erron Black, who made his first appearance in the Mortal Kombat X comic book, as a playable character. A complete list of the achievements and images can be found on Xbox Achievements.

In addition to Erron Black, another achievement image features a Tarkatan, the nomadic mutant race made popular by the classic Mortal Kombat character Baraka. It is not confirmation of Baraka as a playable character. However, the character is featured in the foreground of the Mortal Kombat X Kove stage.

The achievement list also reveals a first look at Goro in game, performing a fatality for a fatality-based achievement.

Mortal Kombat X’s character roster is now at 25 with the addition of Erron Black. While Mokap was revealed as definitely not appearing in Mortal Kombat X recently, a handful of characters were confirmed, including Shinnok, Kenshi, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, and Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees.

I believe that pic is of one of his brutalities since it's a pic for the "Perform 1 Brutality" achievement.

I like his design. Can't wait to see some gameplay.

I hope NRS dont reveal everything about this game leading to release. I hope there are still several surprises in store for us when we pick it up
