I'll get Bo Rai Cho and Triborg but hell no to Leatherface and Xeno Baraka! I want NRS to do a horror character fighting game but separately and not crossed over with MK even as dlc

I really like that Alien is in. I'd prefer a regular xenomorph instead of tarkatan, but ok.
Tri-Borg is awesome and, since I wanted Smoke, that's even better.

Don't care for the other 2. I also would have preferred Fujin instead of Bo Rai Cho.

with this you get both. Im pretty sure one of his fighting styles will be sraight up Xenomorph, the other being Baraka and a third possibly being an amagalm

So many mixed feelings about this pack. First, I LOVE Bo' Rai Cho and am very excited to see him return. Frankly, he probably just should have been in the main roster day one. I will definitely buy him.

In principle I'm not against guest characters but they always seem to pick ones that don't interest me. Plus none of these horror icons speak which means they don't really interact or have any personality beyond their distinctive looks or fighting styles. Which, granted, might not matter to everyone in a game like this, but, I dunno, they feel so bland to me because of it. At least Alien wasn't a complete surprise, but Leatherface is totally out of left field. Totally impartial to Triborg. The idea seems silly right now but I'd have to see gameplay.

So, kudos for taking everyone by surprise, I guess, but "boo...hiss" for not including more than one actual pre-existing Mortal Kombat character.

Some people claim it's probably due to the original actor passing away and NRS is doing this as a tribute. Thing is, he died not even a month ago and these characters take much longer than a month to program.

With Ash, at least part of the reason is that they would probably have to pay royalties to Bruce Campbell for his likeness. The could may get anyway without recording dialog, but I don't know if they'd be around for that. Plus Leatherface fits more with the guest characters so far than Ash. I like Ash, and I know there's this tendency to what to see him fight slasher characters, but he himself is not really a horror monster like Freddy, Jason, and Alien are.

No, he isn't. But I think it'd be a nice change to add a monster slayer instead. Especially someone as iconic as him.

I agree that Ash over Leatherface have been better but it's still cool. Also Bo Rai Cho is an awful character I don't know why they are bringing him back, especially instead of Fujin. Tri-Borg and Tarkatan Alien are awesome!

Street Fighter V has a lot to prove in order to keep up with this game. I wonder what crossover dlc they will add?

it just irks me because if they all sat around and were like, ok this pack is only going to have 1 real MK character in it and thats all, even though that'll piss off all the mk fans, since its just going to be 1 mk character, why dont we put in the ONE character that 99% of people wanted, fujin? instead they use the only precious mk character slot and give it to bo rai cho who they know has a pretty small fanbase...? just rubbing salt in the wounds, I just dont get their decisions at all, especially after they relentlessly tease fujin over and over and over in everything, then they now tell us leatherface got in over him? LEATHERFACE?!?!

overall though im pretty dissapointed in MKX as a whole (bad roster, bad story, way too few stages and they all kinda suck, no tag team mode, horrible netkode) I thought i'd play this game for hours on end like I did with the vastly superior MK9, but in reality I played it for like a month after release, then I got killer instinct and didnt touch MKX again until recently and just because I have a friend (who I played KI with) who wanted to try out MKX otherwise it would still be collecting dust. At this point I dont think i'm even going to buy KP2 and support NRS, might buy triborg...maybe...if I still have any care left for this game when hes released next year

I agree, Ash would be a cool addition as a guest character, but after Freddy and Jason, and now Leatherface and (kinda,sorta) Alien, I think they're more interested in monsters over monster slayers as of now.

The primary reason we are seeing this influx of guest characters are due to the fact that Freddy, Jason Predator and Scorpion(in Injustice) sold so well.

People dig these guest characters. As others have said, look around the net, theres a LOT of desire to see outside characters show up in this franchise. I mean there are people getting this game because of it.

I generally don't care, if its a character i like that happens to be from another franchise, thats cool. My issue was I felt this games roster was SEVERELY lacking compared to the last game, so i kinda felt they should of fixed that before bringing in outside characters. But, I dug the hell outta Predator and Jason, so if Leatherface and the Alien are fun to use, im complaining for nothing. It also helps TriBorg is a mix of my 3 fav MK characters of all damn time.

Not really. SFIV was the far more technically sound fighter. Maybe from a casual standpoint it has a lot to do in order to keep up with MKX, but real fighter fans wont need all the DLC to stick with SFV.
