I only watched it once but i remember it being great

It IS great.

Agreed. I really dug it. I wish the original plan of it being in the DCAU had been achieved but what we got was pretty good and James Wood as Owl Man was terrific.

It was an ok movie but I thought it was a wasted DTV because it was a story we could have seen on JL and we had to have it be apart of the DTV line. My statement of "Crisis is awful" is based on this reasoning. I'd rather have had a story that we didn't already kinda see in Justice Lords, yes I know they are vastly different, there was just nothing in that story that was captivating. I would have preferred an adaption of a different type of story besides good JL vs bad JL.

Gotham Knights

Easily.

Having said that, there is two or three I haven't seen.

I agree. Marvel might have more game with live action but DC is much better with animation by far. The only Marvel animated flick I've seen that I enjoyed was Planet Hulk but not nearly enough to ever watch it again and its much weaker than most of DC's movies.

Yeah, Planet Hulk was enjoyable, but not "rewatchable " for me, either. I agree.

The only one I really enjoyed a lot and rewatched a good bit was Ultimate Avengers (the first one, the second was terrible). I really enjoyed the arc with Cap in that and I was truthfully hoping for something more along the lines of that for the live action Avengers movie. It was so well done in that animated movie to me. (I preferred the movie to the book, and they are vastly different animals, really)

Batman: Gotham Knight was VERY disappointing. Waste of time IMO.

Under the Red Hood and The Dark Knight Returns are my favorites, by a long shot.

Was Superman: Braniac Attacks one?

Because that was just bad.

To be honest, I've been disappointed by most of them, especially recently.

it didn't have enough beta ray bill. "you, i hold no guilt about killing.":wow:

Gotham Knights for me. I thought it was rubbish but I did enjoy the Deadshot short.

This one for me too and I bought it on bluray back when they were expensive. So disappointed, I could barely watch it.

Also didn't like Doom and not that I disliked it but I was disappointed that I didn't like it was Green Lantern

I was pleasantly surprised by superman vs the elite and batman red hood (although it wasn't great)

I'd take the Nolan Trilogy and Mos over any Marvel movie easily so I don't think they have more game live action. They have more movies but none of them hold a candle to those 4.

I should have phrased my statement differently. I agree that the Nolan trilogy is better than any Marvel movie (I put MoS not far behind but I think both Iron Man and The Avengers are slightly better), I was more referring to their general success rate with live action as of late as well as the volume of their output.

I though JL Doom was way too short but I liked it. I thought Emerald Knights was good too. I haven't seen that many but I was disappointed with public enemies. I like it, but there are some really bad stuff in there. Why on earth did they add all the swearing?

All-Star by far.

I just wish it got the same care and attention they obviously gave The Dark Knight Returns. The two-part treatment. Very reverent and respectful feeling they gave that film, with the tone, music and animation.

That would've been great to see, to include stuff like Bizarro.

Under the Red Hood

What I like about this movie is that is the extended chase across Gotham buildings, with Batman, Nightwing and Red Hood. You rarely get to see that much with Batman movies.

Yes, that was Superman: Unbound. There were some elements I liked but overall I was pretty underwhelmed.

Superman: Unbound and Superman Brainiac attacks are two completely seperate films.

Oh yeah. I quickly read the post and thought he was referring to the "Superman: Brainiac" comic.

Doomsday and Year One because the comics are so good and the features so bad.

I know Superman: Doomsday gets a lot of hate because it doesn't adapt the Death of Superman story and was touted as that, but on its own as a standalone story, it's pretty good. I liked it. When you look at it that way it's actually pretty enjoyable. Just don't let the frustration of "oh, but look at what they could have done instead!" get you down and you'll be fine, I think. :)

I found it that way too. I enjoyed it more watching it again. It's not often you get to see the Jimmy/Lois dynamic portrayed like that. And Lex is pretty good in this too.

I find that way about a lot of the movies at first. Like in 'GL:First Flight' at first I thought it was too rushed, the origin especially. But then all the movies had to deal with a short runtime. But a lot of the stuff they do have in there is pretty good.

I liked "JL: Crisis on Two Earths" because of the way it cuts to each hero and really gives them time to shine in battle (in their own particular way) esp. at the end.

Who are the people voting for S/B: Apocalypse and All-Star Supes? Those were two of my favorite along with Crisis on 2 Earths.

I voted Crisis.

Unbound to me was the most disappointing. Superman (despite great work from Matt Bomer) was a controlling dick and I didn't like his interactions with Lois and Kara at all. A lot of the violence was gratuitous (as opposed to UTRH and TDKR where it served a purpose) and they didn't even do the Jonathan Kent death. I liked all of the voice performances (especially John Noble as Brainiac) but I didn't like the movie.

For me it has to be Gotham Knights. That was the WORST release they had.I only liked 2 of the stories up there.Maybe its just me but i liked the story in Superman Vs The Elites but the animation could have been better imo.

Gotham Knight for me, terrible animation in some of that.

Thankfully The Dark Knight Returns was excellent
