Is there a movie that you think should be made, but for reasons that make it so it has to be made now or it just wouldn't work?

I think there should be a biopic about Norman Wisdom. He was an English actor, comedian and singer-songwriter best known for a series of comedy films produced between 1953 and 1966 featuring his hapless onscreen character Norman Pitkin. These films initially made more money than the James Bond film series, and secured Wisdom a celebrity status in lands as far apart as South America and Iran. Charlie Chaplin famously referred to Wisdom as his "favourite clown" He died last October.

He had a very tragic life before his fame that would just be perfect for a biopic. And there is one actor who would be perfect to play him.

Lee Evans.

Famous British stand-up comedian, but also an actor. You probably recognise him from Mouse Hunt and The Medallion, but he has done a few small independent films as well, and is apparently very good in them. But his appearance and demeanour are perfect for Norman Wisdom.

The problem is that Evans is getting on in age, and if he were to do a film about Wisdom in his prime, he can't wait much longer.

So does anyone else have a similar idea?

The Seven Samurai would translate well in a Afghanistan/Iraq setting with troops attempting to protect it from insurgents/Al Qaeda. The main thing for me that made the the Seven Samurai amazing was how to two social groups divided by fear and hate, eventually merged into one, then once the job is done, used a total dues ex machina with society back to the way it was. This seems like a perfect template.

In The Mountains of Madness, before James Cameron drops out as producer, and Del Toro moves on to his endless line of other projects.

National Lampoon's Bored Of The Rings.

With my pick of who should play Goodgulf Greytooth (Leslie Neilson) now passed away, they need to make this movie before my second choice for the role (Mel Brooks) also dies.

A story about a gay soldier before DADT was repealed could be interesting. You don't get to see many gay characters fighting on screen.
