Movies that made you a fan of certain actors/actresses

Danial Craig- Casino Royale

Edward Nortan- Fight Club, though some of his other movies are arguably better , this is the movie that made him more or less my favorite actor.

Cillian Murphy- 28 Days later

Ron Pearlman- hellboy, he just endeared himself to me

Hugo Weaving- Matrix. and Matrix Reloaded. Agent Smith is one of my favorite villians and Weaving is awesome. I wish the man would make many more awesome movies. Hears to hoping he kicks some butt as Red Skull.

John Hurt-Everything hes ever been in. I don't know he just has a certain quality to him

Alan Rickman- as Severus Snape. There after I realized that he is also in a number of other movies I enjoy like galaxy quest, he also shoots a bucket from like a mile away in Quigley Down under , which i thought was awesome when I was younger.

Rosario Daweson in Clerks 2

Robert Downey Jr.- Iron Man

Robert Downey Jr. - Iron Man
He pretty much put Iron Man in my top list of movies, I think he played that character perfect. RDJ went through alot in life and had a good amount of obstacles that he had to overcome and I think he did a great job of getting his life on the right path.

Me too. Didn't even know who he was before Iron Man

Hugo Weaving- Matrix. and Matrix Reloaded. Agent Smith is one of my favorite villians and Weaving is awesome. I wish the man would make many more awesome movies. Hears to hoping he kicks some butt as Red Skull.
That reminds me:

Hugo Weaving - V for Vendetta

The Matrix TRilogy made me a fan of Hugo Weaving, I respect Lord of the Rings more than I already did! The Harry Potter films made me a fan of Gary Oldman, now I love just about anything he touches. Pirates of the Caribbean made me a fan of Johnny Depp. Fight Club made me a fan of Edward Norton, the Harry Potter films also made me a fan of Helena Bonham Carter(although I have much catching up to do). Van Helsing made me a fan of Kate Beckinsale (I d seen Underworld at the time). I probably have lots more I cant think of at the moment.

Predators made me a fan of Walton Goggins.
Moon made me a fan of Sam Rockwell.
That's why I can't wait for Cowboys vs. Aliens, I love most of the cast.

Shutter Island made me love Leo. Seriously, I hated him in EVERYTHING before that, but his acting in Shutter was AMAZING.

Some performances have garnered respect for the skill of an actor actress that I had previously dismissed, but not to the point of being a fan......some performances have created a fan, but not respect for the talent of the actor/actress....and then there are performances that have created a respect and a fan.
So if I may.........

Nicole Kidman in Cold Mountain earned my respect.
Liam Neeson in Rob Roy made me a respectful fan.
Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting earned my respect.
Jack Nicholson in Cuckoo's Nest made me a respectful fan.
Tom Hanks in Private Ryan made me a respectful fan.
Funny thing is Christopher Reeve in Superman made me a huge fan, but I can't think of a role that earned my respect.
Arnold Schwarzeneggar in Predator made me a fan.

Colin Ferrel in In Bruges and The New World. I loved his character in Minoirty Report, but with In Bruges it solidified my liking of him.

Michael Keaton - Batman. Love everything about what he did. I remember first seeing the film when I was five and when I saw Keaton turning around I was like, "THAT'S Bruce Wayne?" He's a short skinny guy. BTAS was my itroduction to Batman so I had that image of Bruce in my head. I coulddn't believe a guy who's introduction in the film was perfect and then swtiched to that. Then a couple years later I was watching Beetljuice and my mom told me it was Batman. I couldn't ****ing believe it! Since then I've kneeled at the alter of Michael Keaton.

Jack Nicholson - The Shining. I loved him in Batman but I wasn't blown away until I saw him in The Shining at a young age. If only they made Batman at that time, Nicholson was the perfect looking Joker in that film. Very Neal Adams like.

Heath Ledger - The Patriot. Always loved the film but this was the first film of Ledger I saw back in 2004 and have been a fan since. When he was announced as the Joker, I supported him. I had no idea how he was going to do it, but I understood why Nolan chose him.

Johnny Depp - Pirates of the Caribbean - Never really heard of the guy until I saw this. But this was one of the few performances I was blown away by. His performance brought me back to see it for the second time. You have to love one of his roles. The man is one hell of an actor.

Gary Oldman - Batman Begins - I had no idea he was Sirius Black a year before I saw this. He became Gordon. Down to the look. Perfect.

Edward Norton- Primal Fear...one stupendous film debut

Ralph Fiennes- Schindler's List

Laurence Olivier- Marathon Man. I thought a lot of so-called "legendary" actors were overrated, but MM convinced me Olivier was the real deal

Cillian Murphy- 28 Days Later

Paul Bettany- Master and Commander

Heath Ledger- The Dark Knight (kind of a shame it took me that long)

Matt Damon- Good Will Hunting

Bruno Ganz as Hitler in Downfall. If I never see him in another movie....great actor.

Same goes for George C. Scott as Patton and Christoph Waltz in Inglourious Basterds.

Leonardo DiCaprio in Gilbert Grape...only movie he ever impressed me in.

Stephen Lang and Zoe Saldana- Avatar

Michael Sheen- Twilight: New Moon

Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin- Star Trek

Min-sik Choi - Oldboy
Mickey Rourke - Sin City
Viggo Mortensen - Lord of the Rings Trilogy

Edward Norton- Primal Fear...one stupendous film debut

Agreed. Norton's performance in that blew me away the first time I saw it.

Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw - Jaws

Harrison Ford - The Fugitive

Gregory Peck - The Omen

Al Pacino - Serpico

Clint Eastwood - Pale Rider

Denzel Washington - Fallen

I was introduced to ralph fiennes through the hary potter films, but honestly the moment I became a fan was while watching In Buges and his wife yells at him for yelling at the phone.

"For Christ's sake, its in inanimate object"

His reaction
"YOU'RE AN INANIMATE F###'N OBJECT!!"

And with that I fell in love with that movie.

Sylvester Stallone - Rocky 2, I was too young to see the first Rocky

Arnold Schwarzenegger - The Terminator, I had already seen Conan but the futuristic nature of Terminator enticed me more.
