NICE!Blade 1, the Bloodbath scene. Best opening scene in ANY superhero movie, ever! And the coolest intro of a superhero..Blade standing there, motionlesss as vamps starting crapping themselves saying..."It's the Daywalker!"
You're braver than I am. I went with last crusade and still got stung by Indy fanboys.

Elektra - The first scene shows what Elektra should be, the rest is pure garbage.
Agreed on X2.
I'm counting Kill Bill volumes 1 and 2 as one long movie.
Beginning: The Bride and Copperhead kick each others ass in one of the most intense fight scenes I've ever seen on film.
End: The title character walks 5 steps and dies.
A better fight scene, for sure. But the death of Bill was an amazing scene.

I noticed more people were raving about the opening fight scene in Spider-Man 3 (Harry attacking Peter) than the climactic royal rumble. Thinking back, there are a number of films which peak far too soon, and have the most exciting moment at the start, when it should be at the end. The Hollywood method is, "start with a bang, and build up to a climax," but too many flicks have a finale that doesn't match the early levels of excitement.
X2
Opening: Nightcrawler invades the White House. Breathtaking, spectacular, still the greatest action scene in the X-Men series.
Climax: A lot of running around in a bunker. Also, Wolverine's fight with Deathstrike is shown far too early - it should be taking place as the place is collapsing to be truly climactic.
but they acknowledge that...Smith has the oracles powers of premonition, and sees that it's that particular Smith who kills Neo, so he has no need to use the others.
I agree with most of those except for Blade. I'd put the Bloodbath sequence and the final two battles (Blade vs. the foot soldiers and Blade vs. Frost) as pretty much equal.
I can't agree. The bloodbath scene was so unique, there's no way any other movie can do it without someone saying "They got that from Blade". In fact i can't think of any other movie that even comes close to implying where Goyer and co got the idea from, so the scene is truly one of a kind. We've seen final battles, whether mono on mono, or against several enemies in just about every hero based movie that's out there....
First, I'm not speaking about other movies, I'm talking about solely this one. Second, sure there have been final battles like that in other movies, but few, if any, were as badass as Blade's.![]()
