I always wanted to see Citizen Kane, but once I finally started watching it, I thought what the hell I already know the big Spoiler, why even watch it. Has this happened to anybody else out there with any other movies?

Fight Club.

Citizen Kane it's not the sled that is all that important. It's just a dumb macguffen. It's the journey that the reportant makes that is great.

Maybe I'll catch next week then. I love Fight Club (obviously), I saw before it got huge and everyone ruined it.

I was 11 but I didn't see it for a few years later.

I'm not sure but I think Fight Club was ruined for me also. Or it was actually not that good.

For a long time I put off watching Fight Club because I knew the ending. I wanted to see it anyway, but it lost priority. Then I ended up reading the book at my friend's insistence that I borrow it. But the book wasn't that good, so my interest in the movie kind of slipped. I'm sure I'll watch it eventually; sometimes mediocre books make good movies.

Funny thing you mention the Empire Strikes back. I've never actually sat down and watched the whole thing not one of the original Star Wars films for that matter, but I've seen bits and pieces and know exactly what happens in all three of them.

Would every Tim Burton movie count? Pop culture really ruined 'em.

Not so much pop culture but my cousin ruined Se7en for me and as much I liked it when I finally saw it I couldn't put it past me knowing how it ended. Definitely affected my potential love of this movie

I don't think there are any for me.

I usually don't let other people's praise or hype affect my views on a film.

The same thing happened to me with "The Usual Suspects". I can't remember if I knew the twist at the end of "Fight Club" before I saw it, but I still enjoyed the hell out of it anyway.

I didn't mean it like that. I mean like that a plot twist or ending or just a certain scene in a movie has been ruined because everyone makes fun of it or they just constantly use it for comedy like the "I see Dead People" line from The Sixth Sense.

Psycho. It's the only one I wish I didn't know the ending to. With Fight Club, when I finally saw it, I was glad that I knew the twist. It would've pissed me off if I hadn't.

Someone at aintitcool intentionally ruined the ending to Shutter Island, but I won't know if it was ruined for sure until I watch it.

It's a good thing though that I saw Fight Club, Scarface, The 6th Sense before I started joining forums.
