Movies you'd like to see get made.

I would like to see a film based on "The Man in the High Castle" by Phillip K Dick. Hopefully written by the guys who wrote "Chilren of Men"

I think if I was gonna do a remake of Halloween I would do it like any other remake. Respect and stay true to the spirit of the original vision yet make your own ideas. Just make sure they're not stupid ones. Be different but don't go radically different. It's pretty much how I would do a Creature From the Black Lagoon remake.

What, you people don't like Ghosts of Mars..? :hehe:

That's sorta the point I was trying to make with my Halloween remake post. RZ didn't stay true to the spirit of the original film, he just hijacked the name and added in all of his own ultraviolent, white trash, redneck BS. It's like he went to the library, checked out a book entitled 101 Things NOT To Do In Order To Make A Good Horror Movie, Then went ahead and did all 101 of them while making Halloween, plus made up a few new things that weren't in the book and did those too.

I feel the world has become just like Farenheit 451, so I want that film.

Terry Gilliam's Good Omens with Johnny Depp and Robin Williams.

Galaxy High film, I think it could be great and well done and entertaining like a throw back to 80s college films with a sci-fi twist to it. I LOVED the cartoon as a kid and still really like it cuz of the concept, very novel stuff and I think it'd make for a great film if the original creator of the cartoon Chris Columbus directed the live action movie as well

Voltron - dunno why, I just want to see a kick ass well done Voltron movie spanning across the planets

A movie based on the Shi'ar or the Skrulls - some sort of cool well done space film based on one of the many races in the marvel universe

Sequel to Labyrinth

a kick ass action packed adventurous Superman film which shows him being THE WORLDS' GREATEST WARRIOR as opposed to some love sick puppy

Andrew Kevin Walker's Silver Surfer draft - meant to be absolutely brilliant, locked away in Fox's archive cuz it would cost hundreds of millions of dollars

A movie based on the life and starring Karl Pilkington. I think this could be potentially one of the funniest films ever made. Karl Pilkington is a ****ing genius!

Would love to see a Blade Runner sequel, that whole world was just amazing and completely warrants another story in that world... it's just breathtakingly well made, the production values and the look of the film were simply superb. Don't follow the Deckard character, but follow a different story altogether. I'd love to see it

there are loads more I could add but will add later

 Yes.

And The Stand too, dammit! :argh: Someone make it happen!

Incidently, I've got a friend who reads a lot more books than I do and he thinks it's a crime that they havent made faithfull adaptions of the Running Man or I am Legend yet.

Yes ! (Your friend is cool).
For the Running Man, the hero in the book is more of a Jeremy Renner or Sam Rockwell type, an every day, ordinary kind of guy, and he is not fighting Neon Wrestlers:woot:

gwynplaine mentioned it, but I'd love to see a new film in the vein of Dirty Harry or Bullit, creating a new character and story, having a kickass car chase, a cool villain, etc.

Not a direct homage like Black Dynamite where it's pretty much a re creation of it, just using modern technology of today to bring a hard boiled 70's like crime film to llife.

DCAU Batman - The Killing Joke
wth mark hamil and kevin conroy :)

Indiana Jones 5 (big fan, even liked Indy 4 quite a bit, harrison ford's got some years left in him imo)

a movie based on/spinoff/continuation of Skins s.1 and s.2

Serenity 2 (nuff said)

The Restaraunt at the End of the Universe (hitchikers guide to the galaxy sequel based on book 2 in the series)

Daredevil 2 (i think the 1st -- esp. the directors cut dvd is underrated)

Alien Vs Predator 3 or Reboot (but, yknow, GOOD)

Fray (panel by panel based on Joss Whedon's comic book)

The Incredibles II (nuff said, Pixar FTW:))

Die Hard 5 (even though i dug LFoDH a lot, i want it back to R-Rated)

a new Superman period piece based on Max Fleishcer toons (aka Superman fighting robots/dinosaurs/nazis/mummies in the 30s)

the Vega Bros. (the often rumored seguel to both PULP FICTION and RES.DOGS)

A Batman film as a primary detective part noir film. Including the Joker with a case where Joker is actually innocent. Batman thinks Joker is committing crimes but in fact he is not. Something else is doing it. Something in the vein as The Usual Suspects.
