Movies205, Film Psychiatrist, Step on Up and I’ll Analyze Your Movie Tastes!

non-nostalgic favorites

Predator
Groundhog Day
Animatrix
The Truman Show
Equilibrium
Buffalo '66
Tsotsi
Blade
Artificial Intelligence

What does it all mean? Give it to me straight, doc. :csad:

For the record I haven't seen Tsotsi but I haven seen the other ones....

Your a fan of the "Gimmick" plot, not a bad thing, it just means the plot is entertaining more for it sleekingness or inventiveness rather than say tight characters and a good story. Groundhog Day had the gimmick of repeating the first day, Equilibrium had Gun-Kata/Future-Control, Truman Show had life inside a movie, Animatrix was an extention of the Matrix. The remaining ones have a great bit of style visually AI, Blade, and even Buffalo '66. So in the end, story is important to you, however style is able to make up for it, but it needs to be there in some capasity.

The reason it getting slow is cuz everyone here has the same tastes, movies made in the last 10-20 years with a lot of style:csad:

I think you should get back to it matey! Do mine please.
I have a couple o films from the 60's in my list.

I'll throw mine in the ring on the off chance Movies is bored and does more. Plus, it's a justifiable reason to list my top 10 movies, and mine are older and different.

^ I should point out that that's not my actual top ten, it would be too hard for me to pick out 10 films I love the best, I just selected ten of my favorite films that best represent my personal taste to make it easier for Movies. For example, I know the Warriors is an extremely flawed film, but I love it anyway, and I loved 2001's pacing and artistic merit though I know not a lot of people did.
