No, I can't. When I think about it, I barf. I kid you not, this movie shouldn't even be classified as a movie.

Oh, quite the contrary, my friend.
It's indecent and unforgetable

Has-Been down on his luck by chance of fate is given one last chance,
meets girl, someone cheats, utlimately wins in the end... It's ****ing rocky but in a horse race again decent but forgettable but at least it didn't pull a cheap ending just to have a faux deep ending that pander to the pretencious crowd like ****ing Million Dollar Baby

Million dollar baby, is one of like the few movies of all-time where I have actually cried. :( Yes, I'm a woman. :O

16 Blocks
Rented on Dvd
Richard Donner

Plot outline:
An aging cop (Willis) is assigned the ordinary task of escorting a fast-talking witness (Def) from police custody to a courthouse. There are however forces at work trying to stop prevent them from making it.

Saw this movie a few days back, Lasting impressions i thought it was pretty decent "action" movie. The start i thought was a little slow but it had to be to show how Jack Mosley (Bruce) was ageing and getting slow on the job, Once he picks up Eddie Bunker (Def) it all starts going down. Willis in the whole film was great i think he is best in these parts where he has a gun to play with and he gets to bark orders at people, but Mos Def although he was great in the movie that dam voice got on my nerves for most of the movie, dont know if anyone has seen 'In Living color' but the Mo' money mo' money homeless dude from that talked just like this, it was funny in ILC but in this film it wasn`t right. Im thinking it was to make his character look weak and abit slow and more less of class than other people, but there are more ways to do that than making stupid voices.

As for the story, its been done in diffrent ways before but this film still makes it feel fresh by making it basicaly in real time (about 1.30 mins) which means the story doesn`t stray to back home so people can have a sleep, or in the office working more stuff out, its always on the move and happening as they go along.
From the moment Bruce shot his first bad guy i loved the direction of it that shot of Bruce standing there when the camera pulled back and the rest of the bullets going "Ping" around him looked and sounds cool as hell (to me at least) The real story of the film opened up about 30mins from the end of the film when Bruce said
"I was one of the dirty cops as well" Then he got the recorded confession from Frank Nugent (David Morse) which you could see coming but it was fun anyway.

So all in all i thought it was a decent movie that didn`t slow down and had plenty of action in it, if Bruce can do this kind of acting (with out the slow and old factor and plus a dirty vest) i think Die Hard 4.0 will be great! Mos Def was good but that voice has put me off him because all i can hear is that annoying mumbling.

6/10

We won't hold it against you since you can't help it... :(

As for Million Dollar Baby, I love Clint but I treat it like you treat any ugly son, lock it in the attic and pretend it never exsisted!

As for Hildago, I liked it, it was entertaining and what not but like I said forgettable, try History of Violence for some awesome Viggo!

The Apartment
Directed by Billy Wilder
Rating: 10/10

"The Apartment" is the definition of classy film-making, it manages to stay light and fun, while not down-playing the issue it's speaking about which is using people. The film is about this guy(Jack Lemmon) who trying to move up the career ladder faster by letting his bosses use his apartment as a place to bring there girlfriends, problem is he falls for one of his bosses girlfriends(Shirly Maclaine) Jack Lemon plays his character so innocently and so likeable that you fall in love with him from the get-go, and Shirly Maclaine plays her part just right not too hammy and not too soft. I also like how they handle Maclaine and Lemmon relationship and how she falls for him not for what he does, but in one particular scene, because that's how love is. Also the film is just beautiful!

Rope
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock
Starring Jimmy Stewart, John Dall, and Farley Granger
_____________________________________________________

This brilliant film is an attestment to how dark Hitchcock could truly be, and how wonderfully diverse Stewart is as an actor, as he plays a role that I have yet to ever see him play before. But, before I say anything else, on to the synopsis, thanks to IMDB.com. - Brandon and Philip are two young men who share a New York apartment. They consider themselves intellectually superior to their friend David Kentley and as a consequence decide to murder him. Together they strangle David with a rope and placing the body in an old chest, they proceed to hold a small party. The guests include David's father, his fiancée Janet and their old schoolteacher Rupert from whom they mistakenly took their ideas. As Brandon becomes increasingly more daring, Rupert begins to suspect. - Now, bare in mind, this film took place in 1948. Then, when you factor in the homosexual undertones of Philip and Brandon's relationship, I applaud Hitchcock for directing a film with such material at such an age of cinema.

The acting is great. It is Stewart and Dall who carry this film, playing their roles extremely well. Stewart brakes out of his typecasted roles of 'nice guy', and becomes a professor who's views on murder are more than frightening, and it's extremely refreshing. And then, we have his speech about justice at the end...I couldn't help but well up a little. John Dall does an awesome job with his character, making him scary, intimidating, and interesting to watch. The rest of the cast is hit and miss...Granger, who plays Philip, is sometimes stale, along with the rest of the cast, which makes the film suffer a tad.

The story is disturbing, macabre, and down right horrible. I wonder how Hitchcock got the film made in the first place. Until the end, there isn't even a moral strongpoint. But, the film thankfully doesn't rely on such shock value to be good. There's enough tension and suspense here to, as the saying goes, cut with a knife. The camera work is beautiful. Now, there aren't any amazingly brilliant shots maybe, but the entire eighty-minute film takes is shot with only nine takes. Nine takes! That's something to behold, and it definitely works with the film. Another thing that works is the fact that the movie is in 'real-time', yet even then, Hitchcock makes the film feel longer, but it never loses it's pace.

It's a great movie, and if just for the masterful ending, I implore you to watch. You won't be bored.

Final Vote: 7.5/10
I just now watched it because of your review.Absolutely brilliant film.

Just saw this tonight and WOW,best horror movie Ive seen although i wouldn't call it strictly a horror movie,it's more diverse than to really fit into a category IMO
The first hour is magnificent, the characters become like real ppl to you and when the cave in happened i was on the edge of my seat hoping Sarah would get pulled out even though i knew she would,im claustrophobic so that added to the movie for me,those tight spaces were so intense and the acting was top class from all 6 ladies as they conveyed the terror of being trapped
watching them trying to climb their way out was enough of a nail biter as it was and all this before the crawlers arrive
What a ****ing hideous creation and the use of quick edits to portray the frenzied attacks was expertly done
The way the characters adapted was really well handled, with Juno being the standout as a badass, the image of her snapping the neck of a crawler was awesome as was the heroine shot of Sarah after she killed a male and female crawler and stood up out of the water like a warrior
The sadness when Sarah had to kill Beth was painful to watch
It truly felt like the women were in hell, the atmosphere was palpable
The last 20 minutes is some of the most intense film ive ever watched and it all was made that way by the first hour bothering to make the characters feel like real relatable ppl
The controversy over the ending is moot to me,the UK ending that i got was bleak and sad but had they left it with Sarah having escaped it leaves you conflicted because on one hand you were glad she survived but on the other you disliked her for what she did to Juno
Great movie(Also nice to see a good score used and no hip hop or metal stuff)

8.5/10

Wow, I'm honored.:D I'm happy that me review helped you decide.

Anyway, isn't that a near perfect ending? I couldn't think of any ending that is much better.

It basically was another dry-humor post but about the plight of being a woman...

I'm a Fugitive from a Chain Gang
Directed by Mervyn LeRoy
Rating: 10/10

An almost epic movie in terms of character, the main character in the beginning is a completely different character at the end from personal views to even his apparence, it's an amazing journey. The story is about a man who wants to do more in life than just work in a factory so he sets out to get some decent work but somewhere along the way innocently gets intangled in a robbert and is sent to work in the chain-gang, well from the title I'm sure you can infer what happens next. One of the things I love about the movie are it's characters, there all different, and they all have there hopes and dreams, and they play off beautifully off one another. The second thing I love is the beauty of the shots, I posted some screen-shots a couple of pages back, if you'd like to see what I'm talking about. And thirdly it's social message is a strong, universal point, that still holds up today, and it something that the story showed but did not tell. Awesome movie, I apologize for the vagueness but I wouldn't want spoil it.
