Who should play Batman's most cold-hearted foe?

my top choice is Esposito

but i voted for Rickman, Cumberbatch, Cranston, Craig, Day-Lewis, Esposito, Isaacs, Mikkelsen, Weller, Bean, Mortensen

I always thought Patrick Stewart would make an excellent Mr Freeze but the voice could be a problem. Someone suggested Werner Herzog and i could totally see it. It would be inspired and quite bold.

I always liked Kevin Spacey for the role, might be a bit to old now though, or maybe not.

A combination of Arkhamverse Freeze and DCAU Freeze is what we need. That's movie Freeze right there.

Arkham City Freeze was terrifying. They definitely need to be playing up the horror influence on these next Batvillains.

He was also kind of there. The problem with mr Freeze is once his wife is cured, he has no reason to be around anymore so Heart of Ice is the only way to do him. In Batman Annual #1 from the New 52 Scott Snyder reimagined Mr Freeze and i have to say, although i am not a fan of his writing post New 52, he did a great job with Mr Freeze. I didn't care for the Court of Owls tie in but as an origin story it was pretty genius.

I think Rickman could be an awesome Mr. Freeze. I wanted him to be Alfred but now that's out.

i hated his take on it at first, but now I really dig it, it's a very interesting twist on the character

I voted Mads Mikkelsen, Ralph Fiennes and Giancarlo Esposito.

Mads is apparently sick of playing villains, but he would be perfect. Fiennes might be a little predictable but damnit it would be awesome. Unfortunately i dont see Giancarlo taking that role. He would have to play it exactly like Gus Fring.

Of course i dont think we'll be seeing Freeze in live-action for a very long time, but sure ill play along.

Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Seriously, I agree. Even if you're just joking, I agree. Given the right direction and less pun-filled script, he would have been great as a cold, emotionless person, or a person of one emotion, the feelings towards his wife. That frozen tear is really the only thing in the whole movie I think actually plays.

I wouldn't mind Mads Mikkelsen after seeing The Hunt. That movie proved to me that he can be sympathetic just as he is villainous.

He can rock the bald look too!
