Music (Soundtrack and score)

What like Iron Man had? That was the only part of that film I didnt like, there was no actual epic score like it deserved, maybe for the sequel. Dosent look much like this film will deserve any epic score, it looks pretty boring, and I had high high hopes for it too.

The Iron Man track is superb

how can someone not appreciate those?

Also, an entire traditional orchestrated score wouldn't have worked for Iron Man. The concept behind the music in Iron Man is brilliant and truly captures the spirit of invention and technology.

While not my favorite score, I will say that Iron Man's music was pretty good. Imo, Iron Man is the only superhero who can pull off a rock/orchestral theme. I loved how the rock part wasn't overbearing, but more of a strong undertone to the orchestral music. "Driving with the Top Down" and "Mark II" are amazing. I also liked the beginning of "Mark I" and the ending of "Iron Man." The violins in Iron Man's score were outstanding.

Count me in as one who didn't care for IM score. I understand why they did that type of rock score I just didn't like it. It would been awesome to have someone like Brad Fidel do the score.

On Topic:

The music in TIH sounds good to me.

The music as heard in the clips (especially the fourth one) sounds pretty good, so I'm amped. I'm definitely getting the score come June 10th.

However I'd like to hear some actual samples first. Hopefully we'll get them soon.

Me too man.

Hmm,maybe Amazon.com has the samples of the score up. It's worth a try folks.
:o

Perfect bands to soundtrack music from the film:

Soulfly: Porrada. (Bruce in favela Brazil).

Ozzy Osbourne: No More Tears (Bruce and Betty together again).

Metallica: Master Of Puppets. (Hulk Vs. Blonsky).

Impaled Nazarene: Condemned to Hell. (Abominable in New York).

Apocalyptica: Bruce and Samuel Sterns try to find a cure.

They don't have any samples up. They usually do, but i guess it's too early for them to reveal them.

Iron Man's score was horrible. It was really my only compliant about the whole film.

I thought it'd suck but I really, really liked its score. ^

And there is "samples" of Hulk's on the official site I guess. Just bits of the Lonely Man theme and intense sounding versions of it.

Most of the music in IM were well known rock tunes, which I suppose suited that film. But you can't beat a good score that plays with your emotions IMO.

I don't think that's true. I only heard a couple of actual rock songs. Most of the music was Iron Man's own score. I did prefer the orchestral parts of his score over the rock parts, but I think it was an okay balance. At least better than Ghost Rider's balance. The only times I really noticed the music, during the movie, was when he was making the Mark I, and when he was testing the Mark II. I would have liked a more orchestral based score, but I thought Iron Man had some nice pieces.

Ooh, like Apocalyptica's "Bittersweet..." I suppose that'd be a bit much with Ville and the other guy whose name I can't recall at the moment... Maybe if they just took out the vocals?

Wheres the loney man theme ?

Thought that had re-done it for this film ?

grrrrrrr:bh:

Iron Man had himself a pretty nice, memorable theme, and the rock/orchestra score worked better than it could have, but the score wasnt mind blowing. What I've heard of TIH is pretty decent but it'll have to grow on me for me to say its on par with the best of superhero themes. I do like Craig Armstrong's Ray and WTC scores alot, though.

Some of the tracks sound decent... but... Hulk theme... wtf?
