Comics Mutants with immune power

I get confused mostly because I have it on TPB... it's easier to remember when you have the issues instead of the tps... I remember the tps as a "whole" most of the time.

I've got it in issues but GLMK II is largely a blur to me. Actually had to look it up.

Wasn't it revealed that Storm isn't immune to extremes in temperature, but in fact her body just compensates for it? Like if the weather is really hot, her body cools her down. And vice versa. So if you lower the temperature enough her body should overcompensate and cause her to have a fever. I think this was revealed in X-Men Unlimited.
She's also not immune to weather not under her control as she can be hurt by it. I recall Beavatron hurting her with his electric blasts.

No offense, but your a little late.

-Thank handoffate

Why would I take offense? I'm on a slow internet connection, so I couldn't load up those pics.

So if storm was sending lightning flying everywhere and she ON PURPOSE hit herself with that lightning, would it hurt? I trhink if she didn't want it to hurt her then it wouldn't.

Can you state the logic behind your statement please? In my experience, people cannot withstand thousands of volts of electricity surging through their bodies.

Well SEBITA or HANDOFFATE (since they seem to be experts at physics and stuff), if storm was sending lightning flying everywhere and she ON PURPOSE hit herself with that lightning, would it hurt? I think if she didn't want it to hurt her then it wouldn't.

It shouldn't affect her at all. She channeled lightning through her body before.

Okay. Plus she already has electrcity in her body. That should AMP her limitation for electricity up.

Really? Hmm, need to brush up on my Storm then.

^LOL!Anytime she uses lightning from her hands that when she channels it.

Oh, I see. I was under the impression that Storm created some type of electric potential in the air molecules around her, from which then an electrical discharge is sent from along an ionized path of air to her target (a path which starts from her hand).

Thanks for the info.

I felt, well actually still feel that that is what happens.

Well, physically, it makes more sense to have Storm create an electric field of positive and negative particles around her rather than inside her. However, this would also mean that Storm would (theoretically) be vulnerable to electric attacks, although she'd probably be somewhat more resistent than others with comparable human physiology.

But if Marvel says Storm channels her lightning from her body, than I'm perfectly willing to accept that as canon. Even though it would make Storm immune to virtually all electric attacks, it's actually one of the more plausible explanations in the Marvel universe.

She isn't immune to all electric attacks though, since she was able to be hurt by Beavatron's electric blasts. So I guess unless he generates it, then she can be hurt by it.

Maybe Beavatron used an electrical attack that utilized another type of ion? I'm pretty sure something like 95% of lightnings discharge negative ions. Perhaps Beavatron's electric attacks consists of an electrical discharge of some sort of positive charge?

6I heard of that before. Their are like certaint attacks that have negitive charges.
