Not necessarily.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s an absolute must. They probably want to kick off GL fresh rather than ask any new potential audience members to recall something from an episode of a whole other show X months/a year beforehand.

That being said, I could see some sort of tease happening. And ideally an eventual crossover.

Yeah I wouldn't be against a Green Lantern showing up... One has shown up on Brainiac's ship.

Also important to remember, that with animation lead time, the concept of a back door pilot is inpractical.
