Keep in mind that if CR is as mature as he seems to all of us, he's at a time in his life where he's experiencing a lot of emotions to new degrees; in this case empathy.

Quick update before I try to read everything I missed since last night, there's been a misconception I have NOT made up my mind about whether I let Kelvin live with us or not. I'm still weighing everyone's opinions because that's the purpose of this thread and I am looking for your input...ultimately it's my decision and well, Kelvin's decision which actually supersedes my own, but there's certainly a lot of details I want settled before I allow him to move in, that and having talks with my parents we are trying to decide what is the best route to take. Kelvin told me we'd talk on Skype today so we'll have a better understanding of what's going on right now, I'm also am going to show him the guest room through Skype, and give him the grand tour as they say.

I have not already made a decision though we are still in negotiations.

This completely contradicts your earlier post that said he has till the end of the week to decide to accept your offer. Again you would be wise to heed everyone's advice to not do this. It sounds like your friends "comfort zone" locking himeself in a room and playing around on the Internet and watching tv.
