You need to understand, too, that the forum isn't limitless in options. So, there's a likely chance that some of these ridiculous requests wouldn't even be possible.

and making the hype a pay site would be ridiculous the majority of people would leave and make the site lose money and eventually shut down

agreed, no one is going to pay to have access to the boards that's moronic. i can understand maybe a special vip section with different conditions but not the entire boards

They tried a VIP section at one point, for people with a certain amount of posts. From what I understand, that didn't work out so well.

I'm not trying to remake it.....just make the neighborhood a little nicer...most of you that know me here know that I'm not a malicious guy, maybe a little high strung, but thats about it...just want things to be a little nicer. how about not being allowed to post pics untill you've posted a significant amount of times...??

Honestly, the hype isn't that bad. If someone is out of line or posts something explicit, they get probabtion or banned. Adding the different forums(sports and celebrity) only helps the people that don't want those threads in the community. It helps separate the people who want to discuss those topics with other posters.

Posting pics here is accomplished through hotlinking to files hosted on other sites (be it Photobucket or somewhere else) through the tags rather than actually hosting the picture from this site, which makes what you're suggesting pretty well impossible. It's sort of an "all or nothing" thing with the image tags in that everyone can use them or nobody can. Could be something that could be hacked up in the code, but vBulletin is proprietary software which makes it very difficult to do something along those lines and it could introduce a lot of instabilities to the system (as if we don't have enough already) and become rendered useless when the system is upgraded and overwrites the old one (or make the new system not install correctly and tank the boards completely).
