I noticed people are disliking the Butler scene but I really liked it. Harry was very depressed and pretty much had lost it. Bernard cared for Harry, so he wanted him to know the truth about what happen to his father and how much Bernard and Harry's freind's love him. He only did it because he cared for Harry. I really thought it made sense and was emotional.![]()
The butler scene is TERRIBLE, easily the worst scene of the entire trilogy.
But I agree, having Harry simply show up would be more impactful.
I also wish they would have not presented him as 'new, GOOD GUY Harry!'. It seems like he shows up and starts wisecracking. He should have been a man on a mission.

Exactly, they should have shown or made implications in SM1 of the butler knowing about Norman and taking Harry under his protective/love wing but my personal favorite is Harry should have come to terms with himself and finally defeat his father and become his own man. That truly would have completed his arc.Because it played out horribly and it totally came out of left field. The whole scene felt awkward and made me cringe.
1.) Either The Bultler should have been played out more in the triolgy and given more depth
2.) Or Harry should have just showed up on his own
I thought he was handled well in the final battle.
A is the answer, i bet if harry did survive the battle royale, butler ass would of been firedI disagree. Think about it.
Peter and Harry were best friends.
In Harry's eyes, Spider-Man kills his dad.
To Harry, it seems like Peter cares about a steady job from Spidey more than his best friends fathers death.
Harry finds out Peter is Spider-Man.
They fight, Peter ****s Harry up royally.
Peter comes knocking on Harry's door asking for help defeating an enemy he can't handle. Harry turns him down.
Harry learns from his butler (cringe) that he had it wrong all along.
Would you predict Harry to show up at the final battle as
A.) An embarrassed, hardened man set on making things right
or
B.) A wisecracking schmuck who acts like nothing over the past 3 or 4 years had happened

Butlers do know everythingOr they could have skipped all that and had the Butler present when Norman died.
That...ya know, being the only way possible he could have known.
Or they could've had another mirror scene with Dafoe, and Harry coming to his senses. Instead, we got the worst scene in the trilogy.
It also would have completed his story arc if he finally seperated himself from his father and stood up to his dad or what he though of his father.it also would of made harry a stronger character if he realized his faults

Last part of my quoteBut you do know that's not his father, right? That's Harry talking to himself. The "mirror Norman" only knows as much as Harry does. I don't see how confronting him would allow Harry to learn the truth. If anything, it would just further Harry's insanity.
Harry always seeked his father's love and attention, so...the Norman that played out in the mirror was how he thought his father thought of him. That is why Harry needed to confront Norman(mirror Norman)to finally release that part of himself and become his own man and stop living in his father's shadow and under his control.Just like most of the movie, Harry's transformation to good guy was rushed. The butler scene is a really bad attempt to make the quick change from bad to good.
It should have been fleshed out more. Harry reads Norman's scientific breakthroughs, he sees that some of the mice went insane. He starts realizing his father went insane too. He knows his father killed all those people. He starts questioning whether he has gone insane. Finally, he shows up to help Peter and we still get the great arc from bad to good.
t:I thought Harry's Goblin Legacy wasn't rushed much at all. I loved the two fights they had and Harry played a big role in this film.
The fight in the mansion was intense. I loved it. Especially when it started and Peter punched him. I thought it'd just be one punch be he went on with like four more.![]()
My problem with the mansion fight is umm...let me think why wasnt spidey at least wearing his uni even if he took his mask off. Also his fighting technique really wasnt all that spidey like.
i think this is a cool fight but i cant buy into evil toby
t:He did use his Spidey like technique. Remember how Peter and Harry crashed through the mirror and into the Goblins lair? Peter was dodging Harry's sword. He pulled Harry down so that the glider would hit him and other things. I just wanted to point that out.My problem with the mansion fight is umm...let me think why wasnt spidey at least wearing his uni even if he took his mask off.
