My Issue with "New Goblin"

It's true! Enough of the locket!

Pick anyone of a dozen other plot holes and lets run with one of those for a while.

=)

Who cares about how the bags got through a sewer hole or why the locket didn't demolecurize. That is SO minor, it is not even funny. Things like that I just flat out don't care about in movies.

The butler on the other hand...

:woot:

Or how the suit managed to copy peter's mask. :wow:

Or how, in the comics, sandman didn't kill uncle ben.:wow:

Or how, in the comics, Peter parker wasn't emo. :wow:

Or how, in theaters, people actually applauded after the movie's midnight premier ended.:wow:

Eh...the butler isn't really a plot hole, Bernard was just trying to maintain Norman's honor by keeping his identity a secret. There was no reason to tell Harry. By the time Harry had gone off the deep end, things moved far too fast for Bernard to do anything.

Watching Harry sink into booze and murderous obsession was not a reason?

Was this a joke post or trying to be serious?

I am gonna guess joke. Hard to tell on here sometimes.

Edit
Please forget what I had here before, I wasn't myself, and I actully think that Sam Raimi is a great director.

To be honest, I would actually prefer Raimi didn't come back, he did a good job on the 1st movie, but then his style is sort of getting old. I think he is capable of making many plotholes, but the locket is not one of them.
How is his style getting old? This franchise is the most successful superhero franchise ever. Thats because of not only great actors, but a great director who has alot of love for the character. :yay:

Oh but the butler is a plot hole and a streaker out of left field. The butler was just the last bit of icing on top of the corny cake for me. The kids were the batter, MJ singing 3 times was the stirring, the extremely long dance scene was the baking, the annoying reporter was the cooling, and the butler was the corny icing on top:woot: However, the butler was the most annoying and corny out of them all...the rest I can deal with. How the butler knew everything about Norman without Norman knowing I have no idea. How a butler can make Harry go save his friends but Peter begging for help and apologizing and MJ clinging to life can't...mmmmkkkk. It would be the same effect if John Jameson came out of nowhere and delivered the climactic line of the third act that changes everything.

Indeed, Harry himself should have saught redemption, without the butler.

IMO Harry should have fought with his father in the mirror and finally became his own man. That would have truly ended his character arc. Not some lame @ss butler.

How do we know that the belt buckle reforming when Sandman reformed means anything? For all we know he was just trying to get his appearance as close to what he was as a human as he could. He remembered he was wearing a belt so he formed a belt including the buckle all out of his own sand. Thus the buckle isn't really the buckle which may be buried in the pit somewhere but something he made out of himself along with his clothes.

^The metal in the buckle may also have been a totally different metal than the locket and thus effecting the demolecularization as so?

Even if that's the case, the paper within the locket should have been demolecularized.
