Yeah he'd suit Attuma more than Namor. I think he's way too bulky for Namor. He's not going to lose weight for the role, and if they make Namor that bulky then it's changing his visual look considerably. Does Johnson even have hair these days or is he willing to wear a wig? I don't want a bald Namor.

Yeah I've thought about that too. Casting the Rock would really lead to more Aquaman comparisons.

Now I've got the image of a clean-shaven Momoa with short hair totally looking like Buscema's Namor in my head, but yeah - a lot of artists have gone slimmer and/or more cut with Namor over the years, so why not?

I have no doubt we'll see the speedo briefly (no pun) in a beefcake moment similar to the chest baring scenes of Evans and Hemsworth in their first MCU films. But for most of the runtime they'd go with some kind of interpretation of the black outfit.

namor needs to display some regal-ness. i'm not a good at fan casting tho

Maybe they should actually run with that theory that Atlantis is just underwater Australia which is why he thinks wearing speedos are a good idea. Super bratty backpackers who trash the place with tidal waves when they’re meant to be visiting is exactly what namor is all about. They could make it superhero wolf creek

I'd prefer Quinto to Dae Kim. And it's not because Quinto played Spock and had pointy ears. I thought Quinto would be good for Namor before he played Spock, when he was Sylar. He has that slightly villainous look, but of course, playing Spock gave him a slightly more heroic and regal air that he didn't have as much before. Namor needs to be almost villainous and then an anti-hero. Dae Kim looks too benevolent.
