"Nancy Drew" Vs. "Fantastic Four 2" On June 15

Fantastic Four has some compition now with Nancy Drew, it has moved up to June 15th. It's directed towards the young female crowd so it shouldn't be to much opening weekend competition. Click on the title to get more info on it.

I'm not, Prada appealed to all female crowds though. Nancy Drew targets the same audience as Aquamarine which didn't do all that great. But I think Nickelodeon is a partner in this. Nick has a big kid following, part of the reason Barnyard is doing better than expected so it could steal some of the younger kids away.

EDIT: did some searching and Nickelodeon is not involved in this just Warner Bros. so it won't have the luxery of marketing with Nick like Barnyard did. But Emma Roberts is on Nick so anyway I don't see it as a big threat.

Funny thing is that DVP (fox) was released against SR (wb).

Now nancy Drew (wb) will be released against F4-2 (fox)

Studios make a habit of releasing "chick flicks" against big action blockbusters all the time. They assume the females will flock to those since they don't care for the latter. And sometimes they're right, as Prada showed.

I guess the F4 will never get the respect it deserves from other studios and people all becasue of the first movie which was mediocre due to FOX.

WB is a **** head. WB= DC, FOX = Marvel. The Marvel, DC war is alive and well. May WB crash and burn, as they are this year.
