Naruto vs. DBZ

I also want more Hitsuyaga, Ichimaru, and the Vaizards. And lets not forget Yuroichi, Urahara and... infact its just too many characters. Too much to juggle.

Well heres my two cents. I love DBZ. I love Naruto. I however HATE the Naruto anime. Don't get me wrong I love the story and everything about the manga. But the anime is so annoying. With the way they did the music and that weird catch phrase that he does. He never said believe once in the manga not once. It's not the worst anime in the world but the way they made it a kids show just really didn't appeal to me that much.

I contemplated him reaching Ban Kai when we first fought Ichigo. But I think we'd need to be introduced to him finding his Zanpakutou's name first and releasing it before jumping straight to Ban Kai.

If you think about it, Kenpachi has been acting like a ****** in regards to his Zanpakutou, he should have to take his time starting over again and learning the path he should have taken. Rather than being some sort of crazy genius like Ichigo has been, naturally knowing how do everything.

In answer to the thread question, I really can't answer. I can appreciate the imagination in the Naruto stories, but DBZ pretty much paved the way for it. Hell, Naruto and Sasuke are Goku and Vegeta.

I don't know if I could choose, even though Naruto has a lot more comedy to it.

One Piece beats them both in imagination, story and comedy.

I don't understand how anyone could vote DragonBall Z over Naruto. Assuming we're talking about subbed Naruto. Dubbed Naruto is an entirely different story. The english dub is absolutely terrible.

It'd pretty much be due to the focus on the large scale battles which can last numerous episodes between characters which get increasingly powerful and show no signs of reaching a maximum power level.

That being said, I can't stress how much more actual story there is to Naruto than there is in DragonBall Z. I do enjoy both, however. Naruto is my favorite though.

i found it difficult to get into DBZ tbh but i dont really see how the two shows are alike. i suppose its because they both have fights in them. I enjoy Naruto alot more and find it easier to keep track of.

I'll admit I've only seen a couple of episodes of Naruto, and I'm not quite sure where the comparisons to DBZ come from. Could anyone explain it to me?

The comarisn is that Nauruto is like the DBZ for children these days
(and if you look at naruto's outsit and sasuke's outfit they look alot like Goku's and Vegeta's....?)

What dub are YOU watching? The TV broadcast version is more faithful then any other edited Anime on TV. My God, CN allows it to be TV-PG-DSV, meaning Jiraiya's 'ways' are left unedited, blood is kept (outside of gushes of blood and stabbings, whcih are only visually cut out they are kept in), and the acting is some of the best I've seen for a lowly Anime dub (well, it is union so you've got actualy actors, like Gaara's and Naruto's, that went to acting schools and do live action acting, too).

While when it comes to the dub of DBZ the scripts are ANYTHING but faithful where's the English ADR writers actually stick true to the original taste of the scripts.

Get your facts straight, sir.

From what I've seen, Naruto has better stories once you get past Zabuza. I'm currently at the start of the finals for the Chuunin exams. This toad summoning is quite interesting, I must say. Gaara's powers are interesting. Without SPOILING anything, will I get to see Konohamaru's grandpa fight? Just a yes or no answer.

DBZ will always have a special place in my heart though, since it was my introduction to anime, way back in 5th grade, when it just made its way to Toonami. Hell, I think Toonami had just been put on Cartoon Network!

Sanji sounds like he grew up in Brooklyn, Don King fires poison SUCTION CUPS (WTF!?) and bullets in the guns have been replaced with corks on a ****ing string.

I can't believe I became one of those people who instantly screams "The Original is better!" but it's soooooooo, so true in this case. Not only is the story and action untainted but the voice actors do an infinitely better job with expressing emotion.

Naruto is pretty decent but DBZ blows it out of the water. While both shows has it share of fillers, Naruto filler episodes are too much and kind of made it lesser of a show for me.
