Natalie Portman in the running for Lois lane

I don't know, I liked her in Flash Forward.

Well, *IF* they are looking at her, it kinda gives an indication of the age superman will be. Shes 29 I think.
Still, it could be a B.S. rumor.

Well if there is one thing that would make her consider it its probably the pay day because unlike marvel I'm sure WB would pay her a hefty sum especially if she is nominated for an oscar.

After all the women who have played LL, I can't see Portman being up to par, or rather I don't think she fits the bill at all.

We really havent had a good recent live action Lois anyway, with the exception of Hatcher perhaps.

Unfortunately Hatcher's performance will always be weighed down by the campiness of L+C being some television romantic comedy take on the mythos.

I still say Kidder was miscast for Lois in STM. She looked like a hag next to Superman.

I have faith the definitive live action Lois Lane is coming in Nolan's Superman. Portman has the bare requirements to nail it but there are better choices out there for sure.

She may be 29, but she looks much younger to me. It would all depend on how they dressed her, or how they dealt with the character. But I think no matter what she's going to end up looking around 24/5

Michelle Rodriguez :oldrazz:

Natalie has an amazing ass. Her scenes in "Closer" were epic hot.'

Therefore, I approve.

Don't want her for the role. First of all, she's already Thor's love interest. Secondly, she has the exact same problem I had with Bosworth; she looks like a little girl. You might as well cast Ellen Page if that's the look you're going for.

Lois Lane needs to look like a woman, she needs to look strong as well as be strong. No matter how assertive Bosworth was in SR she still came across as an annoying college student with too much to prove.

If they're really considering Jon Hamm for the part then it is very inappropriate. Portman looks like his teenage daughter.

^^^Looks hot

@Jak: and she hardly looks like a little girl. She looks her age and isnt unnaturally skinny

She isn't unnaturally skinny, but she is skinny and on top of that just plain tiny. There's nothing wrong with being petite but if you want your character to come off a certain way then it can be a problem.

If you can get Natalie Portman to play Lois Lane, you get Natalie Portman to play Lois Lane. I would like Emily Blunt or Anne Hathaway as well. But to get such a good actress for the role would be great.

She is going to need some heels if we get someone Brandon Routh's height as Superman (6'3).

Natalie is 5'3.

I wonder if Rachel Weiss might be considered for Lois Lane also if they cast someone like Hamm or Jackman as Superman?

if Portman gets the role then i won't complain (too much, hehe) but i hope they get someone else. when i think of Lois Lane i certainly don't think of Portman.

Wahhhh, Chris Evans was in The Losers, two Fantastic Four films, Scott Pilgram, and is playing mother****ing Captain America.

Ryan Reynolds is playing Green Lantern and will probably play Deadpool. Harrison Ford is Indiana Jones and Han Solo and Jack Ryan.

I don't see the big deal here. I really don't want to go through all this **** again. But I know we will.

I understand why we have this thread, but it's ridiculous to assume that just because Darren is supposedly being considered to direct Superman that his last leading lady is "in the running to play Lois Lane."

I know that's the news story of the day, but it's obviously an association to Darren's latest, buzz-worthy film Black Swan.

Portman is Thor's Lois.

Official announcements, please come soon.

Natalie Portman :hrt:

i think she'll play a great Lois, though i think there are better options out there
